First ! :D woot woot

Um... doesn't look too good to me... could be useful for pokemon with really bad x2 weaknesses like Mewtwo or Dialga G or something... but on the whole pretty worthless, aren't there techs that can do this?

2/10

? First Post

Good card in Machamp Deck but with Relicanth and other card that punish for tools, probably not worth the space in the deck. Overall, 6/10 unless you really have a lot of extra space!

Watched this tech win 3 different matches in a Battle Road yesterday on a certain water pokemon who kicked a few Luxray around.........

Helpful in any format, especially now since folks don't expect it, and psychic & lightning weakness make the difference in a match.

6/10

I wouldn't go so far as to put it over E-Gain, Dragonair Master, but it's a solid solid tech.
All SP Mewtwo X counters rely on weakness for the OHKO, outside of DGX.
Machamp sans weakness is also good at trollin' through SP decks.

Debate: This or Exploud SV?

I really like this card. Especially on SP Pokemon or decks with a glaring weakness (Kingdra...), this can keep the wolves at bay for an extra turn.

Still, it's one-use only, which is saddening. If it stayed on it would be much better.

Modified Score: 6/10

it depends on the deck. if you're using a stage 2 deck and have the tech space available then i'd use exploud.

overall i give it a 6/10 only because it has to be discarded. it still can make a big difference

Lol...are you guys serious? You think this card is bad? Lol...it makes ALL the difference in decks that have a lightning or psychic weakness. EVERY time this card is played it makes your pokemon ( providing it is at least 130 hp ) withstand 2 shots. If you play scoop up...that makes 3 shots....and if you are playing a GOOD stage 1/stage 2 with 130 or 140 hp ( Gyarados, Kingdra, Gallade, Flygon X...etc ) You should get to a point where you are taking a prize every turn. So in essence, if you play a bubble coat on your pokemon and super scoop up, you get a 3 for 1 prize exchange. Cool. Awesome tech, and 2 will be run in a lot of decks soon ( especially with department girl comming out. )

8/10 ^_^

Unown G? Energy Gain?

I said that can be attached to ANY pokemon. Meaning not just Sp's. And honestly, I do think this is a better card than Unown G at the moment. I'm not saying not to run Unown G as well, but think about it. What's Unown G's main point - to protect your claydol from Gengar or to protect your basic from Machamp. If you are still losing to Gengar or Machamp, you are doing SOMETHING wrong. I'm undefeated VS Machamp/Gengar decks in my LIFE. You should play 1 Unown G to protect your claydol, if you are even playing claydol. Other than that, you're doing something wrong. Play 1 Unown G to protect your 1 pokemon in play that cant do much if it gets locked by flygon or if it gets sniped by Gengar, but other than that Unown G does nothing.

Bubble coat on the other hand was perfectly explained by the person posting above me. If you put it on a basic/stage 2 that has Full HP and takes a prize that turn, it turns into a 2 for 1 prize exchange. That should mean YOU WIN THE GAME. What do people tech to beat Flygon? Ditto. What do people tech to beat Gengar (if you're bothering to play it)? Something dark. Gyarados/Kingdra? Luxray. Luxray?Toxicroak Promo. Machamp? ANYTHING PSYCHIC.

Bubble is the BEST tol in this format that can be attached to ANY pokemon (that means not just sp's).

Oh ok I read it in a different way. I thought you meant it like 'All pokemon from d&p to SV'

Unown G stops Magnezone and due to Unown G I managed to not get knocked out in top 4 at my Nats. Unown G stops alot. AND it's searchable. Exploud ( as long as your playing a stage 2 deck ) is tons better. If it was searchable yes but seeing as it isn't no. I'd choose Unown G by far in a deck. Like in Rhyperior. Exploud is alot better. JMO. Magnezone is better with it too.

Exploud SV works better to remove weaknesses. This is more like an added bonus for those who can't attack, there pokemon is about to get OHKO'd, and can't get Exploud out. So That in some ways justifys playing one of 'em. 4/10

~May the Will be done.

Ok...so please....someone tell me how you are playing a GOOD gyarados list with exploud in it...bubble coat is key in that deck. Then...bubble coat becomes searchable with department girl comming out of the next set making it 1,000,000,000,000,000 times better than exploud. (Because it doesn't use a bench space or require a rare candy.) People don't seem to playtest anything...lol.

You don't need either in the deck. Mankey/Croak is your best friend.

When D.Girl does come out yes it will be better but, right now, Exploud is better.

Hahahaha....please tell me how you deal with Luxray/lucario GL taking even 1 prize before you set up? you don't swing gyarados for 90 until turn 3. They kill sableye turn 2 with luxray x....and then 1 shot you every turn for the rest of the game. whether you have mankey/ toxicroak or not. Bubble coat prevents this from happening. How is that not amazing? You CANNOT play exploud in gyarados.

Today's CotD is Bubble Coat, another fun Pokemon Tool that sadly isn't as effective. When attached, eliminating your Weakness on the Pokemon it's attached to is a big plus, but the downside is that once that Pokemon takes damage, it goes away, limiting it to a one-time use at best. Now if this thing just stayed on instead of being discarded when you take damage, it'd be quite good. But the basically one-time use means it isn't too great I'd think.

Modified - 6/10 (Had the potential to be better, plus Unown G is more useful considering the metagame)
Limited - 8/10 (Blocks Weakness for a bit, fun if you can get it out)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here)
