2009 Masters World Champion Report!

This report just show the high level of play world class players like yourself exhibit in games. The Azelf play in particular just stunned me.

Congrats on the win, man. You make an excellent World Champion and ambassador for the game!

What can I say Steve? I've known you for what now eight years? That's a long time especially when it's specifically in this game. I'm really sorry that I wasn't able to watch all of your top cut games but I had the confidence that once you made it past Fabien there was no stopping you so I stayed in the other room until it was time for finals and waited for the confirmation that I was right. You didn't disappoint bro.

We've had our ups and downs but in the long run it's been close to nothing but good times. I don't think that I would trade my friendship with you for anything in the world and I can't think of anyone else (not even myself) that deserved this win more than you. The hours, no days, that you put into this deck were well spent. Your stubbornness in testing proved worthwhile. I hope that next year turns out differently but you know what I mean by that. Just don't tell me to do something else just because you're the champ again ;)

I would say more but it would just be repitition of what I've already told you in person so I'll simply end with another congrats. You deserve everything.
 
Steven, no disrespect but you do realize that a lot of us are, at this point, pulling for your dad to win next year?

Congrats. You're a good guy and I think you know that I hold you (and John) in high regard.
 
idk what gino will be doing now that u have won. he wanted to win worlds last year but ended up 3rd place n was stopped by a Jolteon * n lake boundary to do a 130 dmg KO from ness. 1-1 luxray 1 crobat n 4 turn can be teched in any deck.

As for Steve, the way he's handling this win with humility - as well as the way he's taking the haters in stride - should be commended by everyone. You've got the attitude of a champion.

Thanks for your input. While I don't agree with your opinion, thanks for the contribution. I'm not sure why I care what Gino is going to do, but I'm sure he's going to do just fine.

Thanks for sharing your opinion, and feel free to keep NIT picking or making fun of me. Be warned though, this is the only type of reaction you're going to get from me.

And I am especially glad that your partial scoop of the game was rewindable!
It would have killed me to hand out a game loss when you had the game won in the next turn.

Congratulations Steven for winning the worlds championship! Imagine if you took home the 10-11 championship!?! Which could mean there would be some serious rivalry going on between you and Jason K. lol. To determine who is the better player!
 
Congratulations! It's so cool that an awesome collector (which of course, is much more important than playing :tongue:) has done this well!

Nice thing about this is that you don't need to track down and buy the No. 1 Trainer this year!

Steve, I don't know you but I want to congratulate you on such an awesome accomplishment and for doing so with a wonderful attitude and demeanor. I will be happy to show you as a model player to my sons.
 
I really appreciate all of the support from everyone. This has turned out to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me in my entire life.


I will try my very hardest to represent the game we all love so much in the best possible way.
