Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2009 NORTHWEST Regional Championship - Salem OR

Well since you're just getting into the game, I would say no.
But if you were a good player back in the beginning, I could say it's possible.
But you should come, because they are fun, great way to make friends and we can boost our numbers up even higher.

hey thanks lion king, i think ill just hang out in seattle and get use to it again, no point in raising your numbers when i get better and raise mine :3

see you gaiz soon at future regionals and what not

Would anyone like to schedule a post-game dinner or breakfast?

We should be getting into town, depending on work, between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Friday, the 17th, and I was thinking we could get a dinner organized for that night, or perhaps an early breakfast for the morning of the 18th. It could be anywhere, hopefully somewhere not too expensive, and a fairly central location, so it would be easily affordable and accessible to everyone.

Anyway, it's just a thought, I dunno what everyone's schedule is like, but I'd like to have some talk about it in this thread, and I have a few seats if anyone would need a ride to the restaurant and back to their hotel, etc.

Thanks for reading!

P.S. - Again, anyone with Twitter accounts, I'll be using the hashtag #nwpokeregionals09 during regionals. If you have a Twitter account and don't know what hashtags are, or you don't have a Twitter account, feel free to ask me whatever you're curious about. Hashtagging our tweets could be a good way to keep up with everything going on during the weekend.

That's a pretty good idea, I hadn't thought about meeting up somewhere other than the hotel.
I feel kinda bad though, the hashtag is a bit long, but it'll really help with finding tweets about the tournament.

Sounds like a good idea. I don't know when we will be arriving on Friday though.

Usually Saturday night (really Sunday early AM) a fairly large group of players from Washington gather at Denny's. It is right next to the Black Bear Inn. This usually happens after all the trophies have been handed out and the hall cleaned out - around 2 AM.

@Mather - Ah, good point. Whatever everyone is accustom to I think would be the best idea. I just wanted to get the community going a bit and do something non-competitive as a group. I'll let others share their ideas and such but I'm down for whatever happens.

@Lion King - Good luck!

This location will come to be known as "The place of the great weeping"

Not after I win regionals and join you guys there, then it will be known as "The Place of Great
Gloating, in front of the great weeping."

Seriously though, I like the idea of like reserving a party room and having a big group of people go
for dinner/breakfast after the whole thing is over.

Word, this sounds awesome. So Myself, Batmylashes, Mather, and Darkstar are all down. Does Denny's sound good to everyone? Does anyone know of a place that has a party room that we could reserve or something?

Thanks for the input guys.

My advice to you would be to not let your head grow to be near the size of Mr. Raichu's. (Oh wait, too late....
gosh, I didn't know it was possible!!!)

. . . Don't insert your foot into your mouth until AFTER the tournaments are over.

I just had to point that out.

Only two weeks left. =D I'll be ready with my random deck and my eyeliner and my pink card sleeves and stuff. =D

lol at washington peoples meeting at deny's... ima win this as well, with mah no-energy cherrim deck! (not actually though, prolly playing same thing as last time :p)

yes, but the difference in my quoting and war of words was that I was making it for the pure sake
of a joke, where as all the Washington players were being completely serious. I don't expect myself
to win Reigonals, maybe top cut, but I'd be stupid to seriously think I could pull off that great a feet
as a Rookie in pokemon. Thanks for pointing that out tho.

Waaaah! Am I too old to whine because the kiddo and I can't come since it's my hubby's uncle's 80 birthday? Don't they understand how important Pokemon is?!?!?!

Gonna try and maybe come for the morning only, just to get those numbers vs. Texas!

Just spending the morning at this event and playing a few rounds will keep you flying high all day. You HAVE to be able to say you were at the Pokemon event that made history in the NW! Hope to see you there, if only for a short while.

Grrrrr. I rebuilt my T-tar deck with a new Plat tech that just made it rock. (yes it was leauge but it was quite devastating) Now I have got to choose between which deck to play T-tar or Dusknoir........ I've got 10 days to decide.

I vote for T-tar! And it has NOTHING to do with the matchup that I play it with!

Look out everyone, my mother-in-law is playing Stunktank (from Stormfront.) I built her a deck on Monday. And practicing against her is how Zane got so good...
