Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2009 US Nationals

This rule doesnt really help, you get donked game 1, win game 2 and then game 3 starts and its timeout... Guess who wins now :/

if your 1-1 there has to be a finisher if you dont start game 3 you play a game of one prize if game 3 starts its win on prize. so its not that bad that problem is time being called durring game 2, the prize count means if that match even counts

Quote for pointing out major flaw of the 2 out of 3 rule. Or just pointing out tat Donking is more powerful then peeps realize.

This is what we experienced in Norway as well. The deck that has donk possibilities always wins that 3rd game, and the deck that needs setup loses.

I would rather have SOME chance at winning games 2 & 3 after a donk than no chance whatsoever.

Still I wonder why they didnt make it a full 1 Hour game...
I mean, 15 minutes wont make that much difference in the time plan, right :/ ?

New England is going to represent - I haven't spoken to JB since 3pm no new to update yet. My littlest guy dropped after going 0-3 but it was his 1st time at Nat's and he's 7 so I'm proud of him for at least trying it out :) At that point NC and JM were both 2-1 and JB 3-0 so keeping my fingers crossed....

what about seniors and masters?

A big cheer goes up for Matthew S. (I assume from Texas) and Andrew D. (I assume from Ohio) from the Ugly Crowd of Ontario Canada; one of whom finds himself a long way from home. Best of luck for the next round.
