Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars
Just realized something...Bellossom LA stays in...and theres that ridiculous Vileplume...not to mention Spiritomb...
...
Oh this is gonna be fun.

With the loss of Claydol, trying to run a deck on Uxie's for card advantage is going to let Power Spray in SP Decks absolutely SLAUGHTER other decks that require the constant shuffling. Anybody know any alternatives?

POP announced last year that they wanted to keep 9-13 sets in the format every year. Also I don't understand why everyone is so hung up about SP decks, if they rotated LA and SF (PT-on) wouldn't SP be STRONGER?? This way there are some very hard counters to SP decks still available (Mewtwo, Machamp, for example). I think SP as we know it will die after Worlds, the format is great though because it gives so many options and maybe the widest field that the game has ever seen (since DP-MD cards are mostly unused anyway).

No, because those counters are already here, and aren't stopping SP, the only one that's changed is machamp, and toxicroak stomps all over machamp. If anything SP is stronger with MD-on, because the only thing it loses is roseannes.

every year, this happens:

1) people spend months speculating as to what the format change will be
2) the format change is announced, it surprises most people
3) most people complain about how the cards we lose are too important and some cards will be way too powerful (a few are happy that not everyone will be running things like unown g or holon transceiver, for whatever reason)
4) despite people complaining and hating, THE POKEMON TCG CONTINUES TO GROW

i think we'll be okay, guys.

I'm thinking what about lunasol as a competitive deck...it has good speed and consistent draw power (lunatone la), combined with solrock sv it could be good?

Responses in bold. Not picking on you, just pointing some stuff out.

Yeah I know they can still work. But are they still really the best anymore? Palkia Lock runs azelf MT. That's why it's less it's there. Stallgon used trapinch SW. And Beedrill GE was rotated out. I know it's rotating. But I meant the whole deck is destroyed next format.

For SPs. Just run more Toxicroak G+ Skuntank G! It was a counter and now it shall be used again. I geuss the Porygon-Z thing fazed out. Even after a posted a decklist for a deck like that too. Oh well.

We know that the deck still has regice. But it just wasn't a efficent as Felicity's. Sure it still works probably. But still. But I suppose Gyrados is still one of the best. Who knows? We'll have to wait next format.

Best decks forward:

Gengar
Machamp
SP
Jumpluff
Sableye
Shuppet

Yeah, I played Bellossom at BR last year and got 2nd.

Stormfront stayin is good? STORMFRONT IS CREATIVE? DICEATTACKS AND FAINTING SPELLS ARE CREATIVE? A format of "fast stage 2s"? Cause everyone donking anyone else and decks that a monkey could play is good, sure... The only real viable things will probably be fast stage2 donkdumb decks and sp.. oh fun, how would you like your donk today? Sheesh -.-"

@Zak

Ive done a bit of testing for PT on and although SP wouldve been godly you could have focused on beating it and IMO it wouldve worked out. But how r u supposed to build a counter deck when you have 10 more random donking decks running around, you need to be prepared to face 3 kingdras t1, loosing 3 prices to sableye etc?

See you guys next year -.-"

Couple of questions I guess. Anyone else see that felecities drawing is GE with no reprint. Does that mean that gyarados suffers. And also are the op8 and op9 cards allowed in the rotation. If not we lost Roseanne's research as well. Talk about more injury to stage 2 donk decks etc

If you would have read FIVE POSTS ABOVE YOU you wouldve seen the answer to the Roseanne question.
And Gyara still has Regice...

I think that Gengar will see the play without a fat 3 retreat cost support Pokemon that can't attack in a format where we don't have Claydol for deck circulation. Metagross is cool, but has never really worked all that well D: Cept for when he was a delta.

i dont know why everyones saying sp will be so great, yes it will still be good

but ive seen no mention of the fact that mewtwo x is still in to stop them
