Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

3rd Place Masters Report-Jay Hornung

Drew: Your never going to let me live that down.

Ben: Thanks man, I wouldn't have gotten that far with out you and Drew.

Nope, for two reasons. It wouldn't of been so bad that you had 4-4 Claydol in the deck if you didn't forget to put it down on your list the next morning and almost ended up with a 0-0 Claydol and the fact you got 3rd, not a shot I will let you forget that.

Drew

Jay is truly a beast. How he has time to remain in shape for cage fighting AND has time to playtest is beyond me.

mikeynumber1: Who is this?

Pablo: Thank you, and hopefully see you in Hawii

Jason: thanks

sdrawkcab: I don't think it was really that detailed but thanks

hoennash: Paul it sucks you didn't make any of the big events this year, we have to catch up next year.

Avmozz: Thanks

Billbilski: Thanks

Amphyrules: Thank you

red face powderArchtype: Flygon is defenitly slower than SP but its a great come from behind deck, as for the Memory Berry lock that was all Mikey and Sebastion, I take zero credit for that.

dtrain: It was great to meet you to

Mikey: Thanks

PokemonMaster: Thanks

Drew: Your never going to let me live that down.

Bohn: I've been useing the Pink Sleeves forever, we talked about the Pink Polos for Nats but ran out of time to get them. I saw how good Colorado looked so I decieded I had to do it. Hopefully I'll see you in Hawaii but if you show up in pink I'm still telling everyone you copied me

machampion: Thanks

Squirtle: Congrats on the win Steve, just don't get rusty this year.

Ben: Thanks man, I wouldn't have gotten that far with out you and Drew.

Mike L. from Wisconson

Chris: Cage Fighting like Pokemon takes alot of time and heart but there both passions of mine so I find the time.

Good to know, I didn't know any Iowa guys named Mike. Thanks man.

Congrats, Jay. You deserve it. I just wish I could get a real game against you one of these times. :p

Congratulations, nice job

Unbelievable how you played so many Palkia lock and SP and had so much success vs them, sweet

Seem like a real stand-up guy who finally got his major breakthrough on the world stage. Way to go!!

good job man it was fun hanging with u and watching your run, but what am i suposed to do with this play mat u sighned as the champ on thursday lol.

I still plan on play competively next year so hopefully I'll see alot of you at tournaments. I'm just glad that I have all the pressure of getting a Worlds invite off my mind and I can get prioritys straight.

1.) Girls
2.) School
3.) Pokemon

lol Definitely my priority ;]

Great Job Jay. :D

Maybe the most interesting worlds report I've read so far (with Fulop's). Thanks for dropping some knowledge on us :p
I like the way you beated him btw (Chris). Not that I wanted him to loose, I just find the method interesting.

Pooka: I know I've gotten really lucky against you the last couple time we have played and I'm just waiting for it to come back around hopefully not for a while ;)

GrandmaJoner: Thanks, and yea I realize I hit the good match ups and left the rest of you to play mirrors. One of those things were it was just my day when it came to pairings.

Kevin89: Thanks

Martin: Thanks

Crazycarl91: Well we can either ebay it and pawn it off some little kid or next time you see me I'll write almost infront of it.

ChristianOrtiz: I agree Priortys are everything.

Kiwill: Thanks, But yea Fulop usually beats me out on tournament reports his are usually much better.

Deep Balance: Yes I used the MD, It had several advantage that Patchi didn't like free retreat, fighting resistance, free attack, and the ablity to ditch a loosing hand or no hand for that matter and get me right back in the game. Patchy does have its place and yes I did see some of the Flygons using it I just felt like Chatot was the supierior choice.

Shame that we couldn't meet each other :/

Congrats to your 3rd place and hopefully see you in Hawaii!

Great job man. We we're cheering for you all day Saturday at league. Best of luck to you next season. I know you'll do great

Congrats with your 3rd place.
It was fun to meet you and to play against you.
I also think you deserved a place on the stage,... But anyway: stage or no stage, you did great!

Helga (your win of the 7th round  )

Nicely done Jay! See you in Hawaii, if not sooner.

Come on man, the competition in STL is NOT that SCARY.

You could easily drive down with your brother from Iowa and scoop up about 50 points from some kids....

That has been Jayson Harry's MO for at least a year now!!!

Vince

Cage Fighting? Is that a joke?

It was great seeing you do so well, Jay. First worlds top cut right? It's well deserved. And now top 3 at us nats and worlds, I think only Fulop has done better (and you beat him this time).
