Not necesairly. Electrode could be a good option for accelerating this otherwise slow to setup deck.

Thank you, finally someone who can at least semi-agree with me. This deck starts taking prizes 3rd turn unless your opponent lacks a quick setup. Which in my opinion, is just terrible.

If it starts up slow Then I think no one should even play it. However from my experience with this deck. I learned that it never sets up slow.

Just tech in your own Mewtwo, people are going to be noobs and think Mewtwo is like Gardi/Gallade where you can put yours up first and not worry too much. Drop mewtwo and one shot theirs. Reshiram EX dies to Kyurem EX.

Thats because Mewtwo will be HUGELY powerful. 60 turn 1, 80 with a Switch. 140 damage turn 2. And then you set up Gardevoir and your opponent scoops.

I have to strongly disagree with you on this one. Mewtwo is a card that is extremely over hyped. Setting up a gardi who is extreme catcher bait in order to do any real damage is just bad. The lists from Japan aren't even that good to work in our meta. Mewtwo dies to himself, and he cant one shot any ex unless you get the god set up. If you bring out your Mewtwo and overload to take a prize, I drop mine attatch DCE and one shot yours for two prizes.

And what happens after they ko your Mewtwo? What do you do then? You need to remember that Mewtwo can put on even more pressure than ZPST, and look how completely amazing that deck was before NV.

Why do you care about Mewtwo? If you end up playing against one in cities look you got yourself a free win, teching your deck for something that isn't out yet just wastes space. Also it's not 16 draw supporters it's 8 draw 4 search and 4 pokegear. That gives you 8 ways to play collector turn 1. In addition if you insist on having some way to pick up pokemon I would change the SSU to Seeker, it gives you another option off of pokegear and is consistent unlike Scoop up. Look at 2009 worlds Gyrados vs Raybees any 1 heads and gyrados would have won but he goes 0-3 and loses.

It's 40 turn 1 with DCE. Not sure how you calculated 40 and 140. If it's times the energy on both actives, it couldn't be more than 120 if there were 3 DCE between you and your opponent.

Just to be clear this deck is intended to be used at cities correct? Mewtwo EX is not coming out till after cities and it comes with an entire new set meaning the metagame will be completely different and 6 corners may or may not be viable. Only time will tell and talking about it now won't improve this deck at all for the poster's cities.

You actually start taking prizes on the second turn, when you Catcher and Oddish/Solosis/Tynamo/Cleffa, and other <50 Hp basics with a pluspower or not,.
