Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

A non-versatile copy ruling!

Canadian Nationals is this weekend.
Also, a lot of people are playing Battle Roads.
Granted, this also affected BRs last weekend.

Am I remembering correctly that, when a evolved Pokémon, which has been leveled up, is devolved by a card that says to put the highest stage evolution card back into your hand, that the level X card goes into your hand also. It sounds like this and previous rulings being referred to here are treating a Level X card more like a Tool than an evolution card. They can make the rules what ever they want, I trust their judgment on keeping the game balanced, but it seems to me that these two rules don't sync up logically.

So can "Skill Hack" of Shiftry ex (PK) copy the attack of a LV. X in your opponents hand? Or does the LV. X only count as a "real" Pokémon if it's Leveled Up?

....

So you shuffle in both evolutions if Mew (HP) uses devolution beam? Or just the highest?

kudos to the compendium brains for getting all the kinks outta this format(which because of LVXs, got a whole lot more complicated) before nationals!

status conditions

All of this would make sense to me IF levelling up did not affect status conditions. What is the rationale for allowing a Level X to remove status conditions but to have no other effect remotely associated with evolution?

By that logic Double Full Heal removing special conditions wouldnt make sense.

Its just two different mechanics that have 1 similarity and a whole bunch of differences.

Yes, so long as Shiftry ex can accomplish the effects of the attack as well (like having 8 fire energies in the discard pile in the Infernape x's case)

I don't like level X I mean if it's the same card why does it need to go on the same card? and is it's not the same card why can't you have four of that kind and the other.

It's an upgrade, not an evolution. The pokémon doesn't change, it develops. Makes complete sense as Level Xs function like a tool or TM more than an evo card. Simply poor wording, it should have been "has the attacks" not "can use the attacks" all along.
