All I can say is WOW!!! We had 78 people from 5 states (FL, GA, NC, TN, & SC). First thanks to everyone for coming out and playing and making this an awesome event!!! Thanks to everyone for being great sports!!! Thanks to everyone who came from out of state to play!!! A BIG thanks to Greg D, Michael Brez, and my wife for all their help with judging and running the event...this would not have been possible without you!!! Also thanks to Jacob B (Dendro), Phil M (GymLeaderPhil), and Michael Bar for their help judging single elimination!!! Special thanks to Planet Comics for hosting the event and being so helpful (I only expected 50 so they kept finding chairs and tables for us). See below for final standings with pictures to follow later. Look forward to seeing everyone at NATS!!!

Oh the store was so cool with so many green lantern things. NICE STORE. Met some cool people from Florida. Florida is now officially cool in my book (like anyone cares lol). Good job KEVIN and it was great to see everyone again. Have fun at Nationals EVERYONE (but me (who doesn't get to go (because hes poor))).

Yeah, Kevin could've gone all the way if he didn't concede to a cute girl. Yeah, we're too poor to go 2000 miles too... considering we just made a 28 hour, 1600 mile roadtrip in ONE weekend, and we're only high school students.

we=broke, no joke.

see everyone at worlds though ^^

Slowking was the greatest threat there. Dripping withT2 kills.. I wish i got to play against it... i dont know why i didnt challenge kevn after the tourny!?

That "cute girl" is my girlfriend of nearly two years. I was too busy to see the games, but I don't know what happened for sure. I am not sure if it was you who I was playing against in the T8 game, but I wouldn't have conceded anyways had she lost. I doubt you mean to be derogatory, but that's how you're coming off as far as Stephanie is concerned.

I feel REALLY bad for Ivan L. This is the FOURTH time he has finished 1 spot below getting the trip! DANG!

Ryan/Jim, here's a good rule - ALWAYS concede to the cute girl. You'll be more beaten down and better prepared for marriage when that time comes.

No, you didn't play me.

I don't really mean any putdowns or anything, I thought she was cute? I don't know what part of my post was coming off in negatively... It was kind of a joke, the dark slowking player(Kevin) beats her, then concedes to her for some reason, and I jokingly said it was because she was cute. And yeah, I inferred you weren't going to concede because you would play Denise next round and concede.

Heh, my brother conceded because: A. He's going to be on vacation during Worlds, and B. Because he wanted to give Stephanie a chance to go to Worlds. Either way, it was all in good spirit.

But yeah, Kev's in Florida right now, soaking up the sun while I'm here in NC getting ready to go to work. : / The plus side is that I can practice against his Slowking all I want. Muahah!!

Nobutreally... I had a great time at this Gym Challenge. I met some new friends (Alex and Ryan), saw some other friends I already knew (Prime and .. many many others), and got in trouble for being out so late (Kev and I got back at 23o am). Haha, it was all good though.
