I knew immediately that last year's GLPhil's story was a fake, but it certainly was good enough to catch the attention of Nintendo lawyers.

Yeah, Phil put some work into that one. If I hadn't known before hand, I would have fallen for that one too.

Personally, I prefer April Fool's jokes that are obvious but so bizarre that they're funny. Something like a POP Dental Plan or something.

This was funny, but not as good as electronic gaming monthly's "unlock sonic and tails in super smash bros. melee!!!11!eins1!" crap. They got lots of hate mail on that one... This AFD was kinda...weird, I knew this was a joke, but alas, if it wasn't, I would have laughed my head off at all the angry people!

Its one of those things like George bush scratching the space plans, cause every one knows that us is the best (umm no) (no offence) and selling the internatinal space station on ebay....ahem not going to happen....
It was funny tho, because we have friday night tournaments (every one there uses dice)......
Some one who read this (and belived it) came in and was almost freekin out....and we all belived him, we were even desiding what kinda damage counters we were going to get....lol I got home and decided to check this out , i read it and i almost had a fit myself...well sorta....i just bought a bunch of dice....but i'm awsome at rock paper sizors...

For a few years all i used were dice for damage and coin flipping and now im stuck with haging up my bag of 40 dice becayse PUI decides that dice are a sign of gambling and has no use in pokemon,this is bull$@#%. How can i just change my ways?? I need to go out and buy 3 new coins and a PILE of damage counters. Geez i need to go back to the old days where i used damage counters and coins which i havent used since my first 2 years of pokemon.

I guess the age of dice in pokemon are dead and were at the old school days where coins and damage counters rule. Get ready for damage counters covering cards and the dice to fly.

No Charking I too think that coins only can simply some things in POP however I am not desperate to see to it. Me personally I will always use coins and insist on a coin flip to see who goes first in my matches. I will not however restrict my opponents or anyone else for that manner unless POP says we have to.

Just a reminder, coins are indeed not permitted in Japan's organized play system for some reasons as the joke describes. I find that there are alot of differences inbetween our two OP systems and I am attracted to Japan's in many ways. But that is just my opinion.
