People on other sites keep telling me to run 3-3 of beartic too but can never come up with a legit reason.

This is my current build.
Pokemon (22)
1 Tyrogue
1 Cleffa
2 Zekrom
2-2 Zoroark (B/w)
4-4 Beartic (Sheer Cold)
3-1-2 Vileplume (UD)

T/S/S (23)
1 Flowershop Lady
2 Sages Training
4 Rare Candy
4 Pokemon Collector
4 Twins
4 Pokemon Communication
4 Professor Oak's New Theory

Energy (15)
4 Double Coloress Energy
11 Water Energy

I MAAAAAYYY run Dodrio. But I really don't know. I'd probably drop 2 energy, Cleffa and Tyrogue for 2-2 line IF I decided to.

My issue is that they revenge kill every time, and once my bears are gone (I only run 3 atm), I'm mostly out of the fight. I think I'm going to have to add in a fourth, to bump it from 3-3 to 4-4.

Have you thought of running Revenge Bouffalant yourself? I like it, that's why I run Dodrio so if Bouffalant survives I can attack and retreat again.

4 Rare Candy for 1 Pokemon? :|

Consistency mainly. I ran 2 RC's and would pretty much never get Vileplume out. Ran 3, I'd get Vileplume every so often. I run 4 now with Communication and usually have it out by turn 2, 3 at the latest. the rest can be used as Sages Training fodder.

I could probably drop 1-2 of them honestly if I did some heavy play testing.
I'm not sure what I could drop them for though.

1 Cleffa
2 Zekrom
1-1 Dodrio
2-2 Zoroark (B/W)
4-4 Beartic (Sheer Cold)
3-1-2 Vileplume (UD)

T/S/S (22)
1 Flowershop Lady
2 Sages Training
3 Rare Candy
4 Pokemon Collector
4 Twins
4 Pokemon Communication
4 Professor Oak's New Theory

Energy (14)
4 Double Coloress Energy

I forgot about the edits I made a few days ago. Haha
I may drop Tyrogue and Cleffa for 1-1 Dodrio. But I might not because they are AMAZING Twin bait.

Good luck with the rest of your testing, Stuart. I think I'm resigning my Beartplume deck. I played 3 battle roads and got 15th, 3rd, then 13th. I'm happy I scored a victory cup with the big ol bear and somewhat surprised I did THAT well with him. Truth is, this is a speed-based format right now and Beartic just can't keep up with that. With all the incredible things coming out in Noble Victories I think I'm ready to build something faster and more powerful.

I might try to squeeze Beartic into another deck later, but for now I'm gonna give him and Cubchoo a Rest. (ba dum ching)

Best of luck to you!

I plan on running the deck until Noble Victories then turning it into a Cobalion Stall deck.
I also plan on building Durrant Mill and Top Burner Mill.

Myself and 4 others all ran BearPlume at 2 seperate roads this weekend. No one did better than 2-3 thanks to the sheer speed at which most of the decks play. :(

If you get the BearLock up, either running the Reun/Bear or Dodrio/Bear, you're pretty solid for the rest of the match, but getting it up takes time. Trying to stall with the Bear before the lock really doesn't work well, especially as Bear is in range of the PlusPower Bolt Strike.

I went 1-4 (Scored an auto-loss for walking in just as they called time for turning in deck lists) on Day 1. Day 2, after seeing all the BearPlumes go 2-3 or worse, I switched over to MegaZone for a 3-3, should have been 4-2 had it not been for a misplay.

I think I'm going to come back to the deck after Vanilice or Kyrurem or Cobalion come out, but maybe not. Either way for now, I don't see myself running BearPlume at anymore roads, certainly not Nationals.
