There is a small research village called Holon that was researching unique ...energy signatures(?) in the area...over time, they realized that the Pokemon had developed in such a way to adapt...or did the Pokemon change the area? (Chicken or the egg dilemna.) The scientists who investigate the area around Holon try to learn more about the world, through applying their knowledge and their study of the Pokemon around the village.

Jimmer.

You are freaking me out.

Next thing you know you'll be telling stories about your buddy Furret.

Doesnt something like this happen when you live to close to a nuclear power plant.

This is the story Vincent and I gathered from the Japanese set description that I posted on my site months ago:

In the center of Eidolon Forest there is a mysterious place called Holon. In Holon there is a secret researching tower, where experiments, done by Holon scientists, take place (one of their experiments was to look for Mew as well). One day, an experiment went wrong, and an energy wave escaped from the tower and surrounded the Eidolon Forest. Then they appeared, the Delta Species Pokemon, with new dual types, which they were not naturally born with. The Delta Species Pokemon are the fourth type of species of Pokemon. Delta means four, and first there were Normal Pokemon, then there were Dark Pokemon, then Ex's were created, and now, the fourth type of Pokemon, or Delta, have been created, hence their name.

And yes, these types of descriptions should go on booster wrappers.

it doesn't make sense for them NOT to be on the wrapper--you couldn't believe the amount of kids who, at the pre-release, asked me what the heck delta species pokemon were and what game were they from, and i basically had to tell them that the japanese card-creators, PCL, pulled them outta their butts. naturally, as i told them, i laughed.
but seriously, there should be some sort of explanation if theres going to be a set thats out of the video game and/or tv show continuity.

What about light pokemon?

That's just a personality trait.

And I also saw that info WPM mentioned, it was on the Japanese Pokémon Center website.

My theory for React Energy is that its a weaker form of the energy waves coming from the Research Tower that reached the Pokémon on the outer areas of the Eidolon Forest, not strong enough to change their physical types but able to give them special powers.
