Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Best deck in Format?

In an uncertain metagame, there is sure to be Crystal Shard to protect from the colorless-weak pokemon that might be at your tournament, since it's an UNCERTAIN metagame. -__- Crystal Shard won't completely ruin Dragonite, but it's certainly not helping it.

Dragonite is a good deck, an excellent one, but it does not have the kind of credibility Blaziken has. My Eon argument still holds true in this format. Blaziken was so incredibly dominant in Eon that it will not die, no matter what new cards come out, until Ruby and Sapphire is rotated out of the format.

Wooper you've been in New Zealand TOO LONG.

NZ 4 l_1f3! Long live the land where Multi Energy and Aggron ex form the ultimate combination, where weakness to fighting is NOTHING to worry about, where Dunsparce is not deserving of even one spot in any deck, where Woopers roam free among their own ignorant brethren.

=D

Kevin - untill that well teched Drago meets my Swampie, but you are right about the metagame it's D Drago.

Hmm Best deck in the format? I don't really believe there is one but I prefer Amphy Xatu because Amphy can ohko about anything after the pokemon has been been hit with impulse and Xatu helps cover Amphy's weakness.

Btw what does everyone think about Blaze Magcargo Delcatty?

Magcargo rules! I went 4 - 2 yesterday with him at the deoxy's prerelease and im sure he was used in the higher placing players as well

Why fight over what the best deck in the format is when we're no where close to the official release date? Because of prereleases? No point, imo. Wait till about a week after the OFFICIAL release date when the new cards are able to be used in tournaments, where we can actually tell. Better yet, wait for the results from States.
IMO, Deoxys will be a beast to be reckoned with. Sally is too slow for me.

I will wait to see if anything can counter the speed and raw power to beat a Dragonite/Electrode deck. Crystal chard won't seem to matter much against pure speed, and correctly played Dragonite deck. I hope some new decks come out though. I haven't given much thought to new possibilities yet.

What won the Japanese championship in Orlando the day before Worlds? Wasn't it a Sally EX combo (and wasn't most of those Japanese players playing it?)?

If so, I think we're missing something (again).

But at the time, there was no dark trance in japan. Also, I feel japan's metagame is much different than ours.

so what, it is easy to take out dragonite with a good salamence deck, I almost beat one yesterday but got screwed on energy (bad shuffle). I have beat draggy more times than I can count and it has beaten me too, Just don't get too far ahead of yourselfs, go try new decks and test them vs. proven good decks before you condem somthing as bad, slow, or not playable. I belive every one did that with magma and I can't seem to remember but was that ever any good? My point is that just because somthing looks unplayable doesent mean it is. maybe dragonite is the best deck but if you are forced to play dragonite to win maybe that means you don't have a lot of skill as a player, the fact that there are people who need these kind of posts to tell them what decks are playable so they can pick one is a bad thing. If you look, lots of draggy and blaze and zapdos won at the citys but I saw Venusaur, Blastoise, red face paint zapdos and raichu decks all won too. Maybe, just maybe a well played deck by a good player could win too.

Or maybe we should all play draggy.

Ah this topic is so sweet..... everyone loves their decks.

Although I am starting to play Draggy now, I still think Blaziken is the best...... by far. With classic BAR much better than the switchy Blaze/Pidgeot variant.

Heck even Blaze/CHEX works excellenty. It can easily run (WITH Pidgeot). Three Stage 2's is not a problem, it just seems like people have developed a strange phobia to it. 2 FS and a Boost per turn = destruction.

1 titanic clash could be the war of the Psychic heroes..... Metagross/ATK Deoxys ex VS Gardy. Monarchy? Zappy? Magma? Blastoise? They're all pretty good, but no one is better than

Blaziken/EX
Aqua's Manectric
Rayquaza ex

No one. Not even you.
