Skarm does 20 less damage, and reduces by only 20, and has 10 less hp. He's an overall much weaker pokemon.

It can also fetch other metal PKMN(including evolutions, mind you), so it has a wider range of use than attacking anyway.

This card is great for stalling late game after everything is set up but, what happens against the metagames biggest threat....Queendom... toxic... then just sit back and watch it go down...or eternal flame 1 turn 40 damagex2turns...sorry as a stall tech mabey but nothing to build a whole deck around...

Maybe a briney to lift up the starmie once over and replace it with a gyarados.

Stevens Advice GG :) ....Because I'm lazy, i'll just ask and you tell me if I'm right...
Mecury = Starmie pp for Metal Gardi ds for switch onto deoxys porygon for draw garidos for 40 instead of 30 and gardy for heal?

Yep. I'd also try to briney up the starmie in favor of another gyarados late game.

SMP is also not played, we have a verrrryyy contrasting metagame to most other places, we're pretty far ahead IMO.

But across the US, Mercury is not seen hardly at all.

i dont get it, how are we farther metagame wise than the rest of the country?

Some of us are. Some florida players are still using outdated techniques, while some reinvent the wheel.

Very true, it's [C][C][C], my bad. But it does read [3] Mass Destruction - Both Electrode and the Defending Pokemon are now Knocked Out. If Electrode has any Special Energy Cards attached to it, this attack does nothing.

Holon WP would prevent the effect of that attack.

The Deoxys idea sounds solid. If the opponent has the root on and their own stadium out, though, Espy kills it OHKO.

Does Deoxys' attack reduce damage before or after weakness?

Very good question, I would assume it would resemble Skarmory(DS)'s attack, which reads:

[1M] Steel Wing (20) During your opponent's next turn, any damage done to Skarmory by attacks is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).

So, with an energy root and a stadium in play, and 4 metals, a deoxys would have 100hp and reduce damage by 70.
An espeon ex would do psyloop, 60+30+30=120x2=240, a solid 70hp overkill.

With a root attached, espeon will be able to ohko deoxys every time, unless an orb was attached.

Alright, after thinking about it, this Deoxys has ALOT of potential.

It's nearly invincible, but as ryan said, any decent Psychic attack will leave it hurting. Id suggest at least a 1-1 Electrode-ex line to recover Metal and Holon energies once your first Deoxy dies.

If the card becomes popular, encouraging more Mercury style decks, then Orb will certainly be necessary for the metagame. I can't see people not teching against it using the Psychic weakness, and it would be childs play for an Espy ex or Gard d to deal a devestating blow.

Yeah, i'd say orb would definitely be crucial. A deoxys attack could be teched into almost all decks, easily fetched by a pidgeot, and a holon engine can be grabbed. Two turns for a power-up and GG against this deck.

With their fairly low HP, you'd simply be asking to be KOed and lose all that energy if you did that.

Though that does bring up a good point. What the hell does this Pokémon, and decks using it, do against tank like Pokémon that can block its pathetic damage, such as...well...pretty much any metal type with 3-4 metals attached?

They're called "Secondary Attackers". Though in Mercury, I'd think that Deoxys would be a secondary attacker anyway...

I'n not sure but I've read somewhere that "cursed shrine" is in Eidolon forest.
(stadium - 1 damage counter between turns on pokemon with poke-powers.)

also, I'd siriously go haha on my opponent if they just attached 4 metals to a deoxys and I'm able to knock it out.

Yeah, there's a lot that can deal with Deoxys δ Defense. I'd use it for backup or as a defensive stall(rare maneuver these days)

3-4 metals is not the same as 3-4 metals and having an attack that blocks 30 and being able to heal 20 a turn. That's like having 9 metal, not 3-4.
