Non-holo cards are actually better for players as they don't bend retardedly.
I really never see any weird bending with holos or reverse in the B&W block. Yea all of the HGSS block RHs bent horribly, but I never have seen anything weird with the holos since. And with that line of logic you could argue that all the EXes should be nonholo too, but I'm sure you wouldn't be very excited over that.

I don't mind at all if Hydreigon and Garchomp will be non-holos, as long as the theme deck use the regular holo-effect. I mean, if I gonna pull lots of regular rares I would love it to be Hydreigon and Garchomp and not some really lame card that doesn't even deseve to be a rare :/
Exactly. The Reshiram/Zekrom theme decks hit the nail on the head perfectly by using the standard "line" holo pattern. Or alternatively I wouldn't mind it so much if they treated these theme decks the way they did the first B&W theme decks where the main card had the cracked glass pattern, but it's set version still was a normal holo.

I just sorta wish I could work at TPCi for a day to see these decision making processes. Like who thinks "hmmm you know what, we should totally make all of these great looking holo cards into nonholos when we print them for non-japanese territories. People think that looks so much better!"

A cool gimmick they could do with the theme deck, assuming they still have 2 of the same cover card in the deck, is to make one of them the regular holo, and the other one reverse holo. Note how I said gimmick.

Actually both the BW and HGSS series cards bend in holo/reverse form. The HGSS reverse ones bent forwards so in a stack of cards you could not see them easily. I have no problem with HGSS reverses. The BW series holo (and reverse) cards bend to the back and side ways which makes them extremely easy to spot which I hate. In tournaments I see a person playing Quad Terrakion and I see a bent card on the top of his deck I tell him he will topdeck a Terrakion next turn. and quite often unless their decks are filled with reverse cards I am correct.

I would want the standard EXs to be non-holo because the would be good for the game because they bend a huge load the way they are now. I have no problem with FA cards because they don't bend and can't be seen what it is face down.

I hate the moment when I was playing Flygon/Palkia stall and I saw Flygon Lv. X in my prizes as the third prize because it was bending. That put me into an awkward spot because do I take the prize card I would always take without any knowledge or take the Flygon Lv. X because I know it is there and win because I technically used a marked card. Having only non-holo cards and FA cards takes care of this problem.

Hmmm I haven't really noticed that, but most of my deck is foiled out right now so that could also be why. I've noticed bending if you leave your cards in a hot room/car for a while, not so much otherwise. But anyways, that's still not a relevant reason to make these formerly great looking cards into boring ugly random nonholos (especially when horrible undeserving holos like the new Slaking exist) since there are still going to be tons of holos and EXes in peoples' decks regardless if they single out these cards and turn them into nonholos.

According to the Update on pokebeach for the news story the Theme Decks are going to have the other Chomp/Hydro not the ones pictured.

Can you say B/W theme decks all over again (Putting the bad versions into the TD instead of the good).

Why not the good ones tho? I mean we are already getting 3 of the most used EXs in the format (Ray isnt out but it will be rly big) so yeah..

And we should be surprised why?

I'm pretty sure they profit more from people buying boosters than starter decks.

But be thankful we are getting the top 3 exs already.

Yes they profit more from boosters than theme decks, but a lot of that has to do with the said theme decks being extremely lackluster or useless. The only "Decent" theme decks that have been printed in this entire Block have been the Next Destinies theme decks solely because of Zekrom and Reshiram (and at that point Reshiram was rather useless).

What about the vast majority of competitive players that only buy singles? They lost out entirely on our business by not printing good cards in theme decks.

Official word here for confirmation:

Quick note before stuff gets too out of hand: The cards seen in the windows of these Theme Decks images were unfortunately incorrect. We're updating these images, but sadly those did go out on the press materials. Given the packaging you can probably guess that they're the right Pokémon, but the wrong card from Dragons Exalted.

Minor point. If we're getting the half-deck Garchomp in DragonSpeed, Dragon Call Gabite was also in the half-deck. No guarantee that DragonSpeed has it, but maybe a silver lining.
