Same here, kind of. I think it's because nothing surprises us anymore now that we have basics that have close to 200 HP and can hit for 150 :p
Trainers, on the other hand, are always interesting. Oh and speaking of trainers. I want Power Spray back. Or something similar.

Why the only thing that it would stop is Dynamotor really, and Garbodor already does that.

A lot of Abilities are either passive or multi-use, and they aren't going to print a card to counter the fading Poke-Powers

Oh I'm sure the metagame will be different a few months from now so surely it would be more useful than that. I just really like the idea of a card that you can play during your opponents turn. Makes the game a lot more interesting, at least for me.

Well next set doesn't change that much, and the cards we know about BW5 wouldn't be affected either (except for maybe Ho-oh EX, which would only be confusing)

Has anybody else noticed that Shizurow isn't doing the EXs anymore?

So I went through the news thread over at the Beach just to see if anyone else there was doing rough translations before the person that is doing all of them for the Beach finishes. Here's what I've found:

Trainers:
"Giant Mantle" Pokemon it's attached to gets +20 HP
"Rescue Scarf" Same effect as Rescue Energy I believe
"Tool Scrapper" Mostly based on the name, I want to say discard 2 Pokemon Tools in play, but this one's rough.
Maybe Hyper Devolution Spray?
As for that Devolution Spray card...I don't see it mentioning anything about the discard pile, so it's very possible that card is indeed Hyper Devolution Spray.

Pokemon:
Bouffalant:
Bouffalant takes 20 less damage from attacks, and its attack does 60 extra damage to Pokemon EX from my rough translation.
Jumpluff:
Also, I believe Jumpluff's ability allows you to return all cards attached to it to your hand to draw a card for each once per turn, and its attack flips 2 coins, doing 20+30 more for each heads.
Ninjask:
~Apparently Ninjask's Ability is...Empty Shell? It mentions something about a Shedinja being played from the deck when you evolve Nincada...I think.
Dustox:
Also that Dustox poisons, burns, and puts to sleep for 1 Psychic Energy. Pretty crazy
Gothitelle:
Man, if I'm reading Gothitelle's first attack correctly...

Flip 2 coins. If both are heads, your opponent's active Pokemon is knocked out.
Well that's dumb.

Anyway, those are kinda interesting. I'll wait for the "official" translations before doing any kind of real analysis, but still, this is kinda fun info! I like what I'm seeing, other than Gothitelle (any auto-knock out effects are stupid)

My personal take on these:
Trainers:
"Giant Mantle" Pokemon it's attached to gets +20 HP- Finally some support for non basic Pokemon(although it still won't make much of a difference)
"Rescue Scarf" Same effect as Rescue Energy I believe- There are better things to use
"Tool Scrapper" Mostly based on the name, I want to say discard 2 Pokemon Tools in play, but this one's rough.- Seems like a cool card if this is what it actually does

Maybe Hyper Devolution Spray?
As for that Devolution Spray card...I don't see it mentioning anything about the discard pile, so it's very possible that card is indeed Hyper Devolution Spray.- I believe it was confirmed that it is Hyper Devolution Spray a number of weeks ago.

Pokemon:
Bouffalant:
Bouffalant takes 20 less damage from attacks, and its attack does 60 extra damage to Pokemon EX from my rough translation.- I like it, but still too weak

Jumpluff:
Also, I believe Jumpluff's ability allows you to return all cards attached to it to your hand to draw a card for each once per turn, and its attack flips 2 coins, doing 20+30 more for each heads.- This+Emboar seems broken with the right number of energy. If only this wasn't a Stage 2 bench sitter :(

Ninjask:
~Apparently Ninjask's Ability is...Empty Shell? It mentions something about a Shedinja being played from the deck when you evolve Nincada...I think.- Cool I guess

Dustox:
Also that Dustox poisons, burns, and puts to sleep for 1 Psychic Energy. Pretty crazy- Pretty crazy indeed

Gothitelle:
Man, if I'm reading Gothitelle's first attack correctly...
Flip 2 coins. If both are heads, your opponent's active Pokemon is knocked out. -O_O well then

*Pokebeach has updated with the translations to the Trainers*

And Raen was correct,
Tool Scrapper (the wrench) discards two Tools
Large Cloak increases the Pokemon's HP by 20
Devolution Spray devolves one of your Pokemon (doesn't discard it, and can't re-evolve that turn.)
Rescue Scarf returns KO'd Pokemon to the players hand (like Rescue Energy)

While it isn't Windstorm, Tool Scrapper is pretty awesome.
Large Cloak is...underwhelming with Eviolite in format, but good for the few evos in format (gets Emboar out of OHKO range)
Devolution Spray might be really useful for stuff like Ninetales.
Rescue Scarf is underwhelming because of Tool Scrapper, but if Rescue is rotated it's a good replacement.

Devolution Spray paired with Roserade is the new Pidgeot of the next format.

Mark my words.

Also, Tool Scrapper (aka Windstorm :p ) is amazing and I love it.

Devolution Spray paired with Shiftry is the new silliness. Too bad we wont be getting these cards til November at the earliest.

Actually we'll probably get them around August, since we're getting Japans Dark Rush as Dark Explorers, and these sets come right after Dark Rush.

We'll probably get a little more than half of the set (or something like that) since this set and Dragon Selection together amounts to 146 cards (assuming we're getting for shinies and the Rare Candy reprint), but most of them will probably come out in August though as you suggest. Also don't forget we have a backlog of cards from the Reshiram/Zekrom decks and Thundurus/Tornadus box from Japan

I would be very, very surprised if they left anything significant from this new set(s) out of our August set.

I've seen weirder, though, I suppose.

Attack2: Put 4 damage counters on one of your opponent's Pokemon.

Sigilyph- Ability: Prevent all effects of attacks, INCLUDING DAMAGE, from Pokemon EX to Sigilyph.
Attack: 50 damage+10 for each energy on the opponent's Pokemon.

Claydol- Attack1: Both you and opponent switch Active to bench.
Attack2: Flip a coin, if heads 90 damage.

Stunfisk- Attack1: 20 damage, does 20 damage to an opponent's benched Pokemon.

So that Slaking is a good card
Corrected Sigilyph's Ability. All I have to say is my pants are now brown from joy.

Here's a better translation:
"We're sorry about making Mewtwo EX. Please forgive us"
