I would suggest to all new traders to really consider trading with only ppl with. 15-35 or more reffs with 100% feedback. And when you send anything worth more than $10-15, always send it parcel and add delivery confirmation. Also, beyond looking at someone's reff #; check their history and see how many repeat trades they have made.If someone has multiple trades with trusted users, then they are probably trustworthy and prompt. Personally, I pride myslf on having feedback that reflects my prompt sending record.I have never been ripped, and have only 1remotely difficult time getting my cards.Which I did after I called on the phone and threatened to file mail fraud. That was with "lilwittz" Every other person has sent, sometimes slowly, and recently I've had to return cards to Sora that came in poor condition. If you utilize the system properly, then you will end up with an enjoyable trading experience overall.

@ pats you should just file the form United States Postal Inspection Service website...if you get enough people that can cross reference the address and the names that are being used there might be enough for them to actually reach out and visit the said scammer...you could also try to sue in small claims court...just depends on time and investment...and level of anger.

We are aloud to request bans but it doesn't mean it will happen- what evil psyduck said to me.

After what I said we got him out of here an now people will stop being ripped. However there is another BIG ripper.

It had nothing to do with what you said that got him out.

You are acting like a mod just as much if not more then he is. He stated an opinion nothing more and i agree with it. The member is gone so now everyone please drop it.
 
Can i get some help plz... I really thing i was ripped by figure8 its been almost 2 months since i sent and he hasent been responding to my pms.. the last message i got he said he has not recieved yet. I'm pretty sure he got my cards cuz other ppl did. I didnt send with tracking cuz i cudnt afford to. Also he asked if i cud send 1st even though his trader rating was lower than mine and i did. He insisted cuz i lived overseas. Any help from mods wud be greatly appreciated

There's your mistake right there. The Gym rules apply no matter where you live. Talking someone into sending first when they have more refs is highly suspicious.

Never be so desperate to trade that you ignore the rules that protect you.

-If you have a problem with a Gym trader: email [email protected] stating what the problem is, who it is with (screen name and real name), the email address of that person (if you have it), mailing address, and a time line of the trade. Please include as much detail as possible on what has occurred.

Believe it or not, it's very easy to do the above. All you need to say is "I'm [insert YOUR 'Gym screen name here] and I traded with [insert offending party's 'Gym screen name here] but have not received their end of the trade. I sent my [insert your part of the trade here] on [insert the date here] , and [insert name of the offending party here] agreed to send me [insert the offending party's trade here] in return. I haven't got it yet. Their real name and address is [insert the offending party's real name and address here] ."

If you can fill in the blanks, and send it to [email protected] that's all you need to do.

I need a little help... I made a HUGE trade with Sleep lock, and I had to send first, so I did, I insured it and all, the tracking number says he does have it, and his PM box is full, so I can't reach him. I think he may be ripping me... Please help, it was really good cards to.

Report it to the gym tribunal.
 
How would giving away free codes prove that you were trustworthy when it comes to mailing out cards?
 
I would really hope not.

The ref system is only worthwhile if it only includes genuine trades. If there was an easy and fast way to just build up a bunch of refs (like giving away low value cards or the codes you get for free in packs), then every scammer in the game would be rushing to do it.

Put it this way: say you were trading with someone and had to send first. What would make you feel most safe?

a) They had 50 refs from honest trades where they mailed cards on time and in good condition

or

b) They had 50 refs from sending out free codes to a bunch of randoms

You get no refs for giving away free items. PERIOD!! If aught doing it then the ref will be deleted and action taken so don't even try it.
