I sent 9/28. Loser has failed to update me. It has been approx 12 days. I am genuinely disappointed

It would help if you posted his entire username, I don't think it is just loser is it???? If you mean loser626 then I would say you don't have to much to worry about as I know he is a trusted trader/seller/buyer.

Hope this helps, Mike

If you have an issue with Torko4l feel free to contact Shuckle.

Anyone know MagneBoar? He was supposed to send 2 pokemon collectors first almost 2 weeks ago. I sent him a pm and haven't gotten a response.

Report Bad Trader - figure8

PokeGym ID = figure8
Paypal Name = Terry Heard
Paypal Address = [email protected]

My experience:

figure8 responded to my buy request for online codes on the Buyer's House forum, and pm'ed me for a deal. After I paid through Paypal, he pm'ed me 40 online codes on 9/17/2011, but all of them were already redeemed and therefore invalid. When I contacted him, he insisted they were valid and refused refund on Paypal.

I contacted P!P, and forwarded them those 40 codes. I just received their response as follows:

1. They confirmed those 40 codes were not redeemed by me.
2. They cannot tell me who redeemed them due to their privacy rules.
3. They did tell me those codes were actually redeemed online on 8/1-8/2/2011 by someone else.

He is not even a verified seller. And there is no record of him posting in your buy thread.

Looks to me like this was done through pm and is a perfect example of why not to deal through pm but to do all deals in the forums with verified sellers.

Since you did not follow forums rules there is nothing we can do to help you.

Psyduck,

Understood. I have already appealed to Da Gym's Tribunal with all evidences, and was told the same, basically there's nothing the Gym can do. And I'm ok with that. Lesson learned.

I'm simply sharing my experience here to alert others, as suggested by the Tribunal. I also sent evidences to Paypal and P!P, at least he would have a record in all these places.

Thanks for responding to my post.

Actually I didn't, just regular payment. But since it's virtual goods, it's not covered under Paypal refund policy.

Oh, I see. I recall a buyer whom I sold codes to using an unauthorized transaction dispute to reclaim the money. It worked, but I had undisputable proof. So I had PayPal file chargeback since I had electronic documentation that the person received. Took me 6 weeks and $20.00 in filing fees, but I won. I personally don't recommend choosing this route to claim your money back.

One can actually argue whether this is a digital good since codes are printed on physical paper. It doesn't really become digital until redeemed. So if I said I'd sell you a PTCGO Booster Credit (humor me), that has no physical form, then you wouldn't be covered. You could claim he never sent you the physical cards and demand only a refund for the transaction. You'd probably need to esclate to a claim for this action to take full effect.

I did escalate it to a claim on Paypal, and appealed it 3 more times as I received more definitive proofs from P!P (it was a slow process), but still was denied every time, since he pm'ed me the codes and there's no "physical" goods exchanging hands. The claim specialist even told me on the phone that as long as it's a virtual goods transaction, they won't process the claim even though he has the evidence and knows I'm right. All they can do is to put a record on the seller.

Multiple lessons learned ;)

Paypal is a sorry service and when it comes to selling online or buying you are almost forced to deal with paypal.

I had one incident where I sold something couple of years ago for $100 and once any money gets into the account, I transfer it out of there ASAP because paypal ALWAYS sides with the buyers. Well sure enough they locked the account because the guy said he never got it, I think it was a person to person exchange, I dont recall, needless to say I didnt pay the $100 back into paypal and just opened a new account.

If you going to sell anything in which the buyer is sending you money through paypal, I dont care what it is, send something with a tracking number to their address such as order confirmation or anything.
