Back from another break, and not too sure about the metagame so, here's the first thing that interested me upon return:
Pokemon: 16
4 Cobalion EX
3 Klink DEX
1 Klang DEX
3 Klinklang PLS
1 Klinklang BW
4 Skarmory PLS
Trainers/Supporters:30
4 Plasma Grunt
2 Colress
2 Juniper
4 Hypnotoxic Laser
4 Colress Machine
3 Eviolite
3 Rare Candy
3 Level Ball
2 Escape Rope
2 Virbank Gym
1 Scramble Switch
Energy: 14
10 Metal
4 Plasma
I think Cobalion is already getting some love, and I can see why. Klingklang allows him to wall other EXs, while being able to use Eviolite to take hits easier, and also slicing up Special energies. Not sure if you need to make it a goal to use Steel Bullet, but it's got the moves around resistance and effects on Defending Pokes so it seems usable. Lucario is there for late game revenge sweep, and also to OHKO Darkrai EX if he decides to take a prize off me, and if I choose to attach a metal energy to him, he receives Klingklang's lovely ability too. I'm not even sure if Emolga is an ideal starter anymore, I just remember him being awesome when DRX came out, and Lunatone is there for that Ether combo, altho Idk if it's needed in this deck. I don't see any Fire types making a debut, so I excluded Frigate with Cobalion. But it there are any I'm missing just fill me in. Any fixes or suggestions would be swell.
Edit: Took out Lunatone and Ether, realized I forgot Rare candies.
Edit: Completely re-did the deck, due to lack of some of the aforementioned cards. Trying a "Plasma Engine" theory. Use of Skarmory to discard Plasma cards to draw as well as Grunts to do so as well, as main strat is to get Cobalion up, I can speed through most of my deck to get to that point. Colress Machine and Hypnotoxic will be the fodder for the most part, but Colress can also be used to speed energy attachment up, and if you're holding a metal and colress machine, you can have Cobalion energized for Metal Bullet by T2, takes some luck and set up but well worth the gamble. (The above being true if you start Skar, drop a metal, use CM, grab the plasma, and draw into or are holding Scramble Switch). One I get better supporters I'll swap out for a more consistent draw engine but how does this look thus far? Skar also receives Klinklangs body effect, therefore making him a great start if you're against heavy EXs in your area.
