I'll definitely be buying singles...

But, all the reprints are worthless unless you're a collector...
Who needs the cards when they're still going to be here for at least 2 more years....

They could have at least reprinted some of the good cards from PL series or StormFront...

Whoa! This set is so bad I think that people are actualy starting to for get that there giving us cardboard deck-boxes instead of sleeves.
 
Actually, my favorite part of the set was the deckbox.

BTW, when i first saw the kyogre on the front, i could not help myself but say 'derp'. Look at it's face.

Attendance at the last sets prereleases were HUGE. Abd guess what... product is based off of the last set's attendance. Our area PTOs have/will have SOOOO much product left over with nothing to do with it. I wouldn't be surprised if some stop running prereleases after this...

Thanks for the concern but this quote is the furthest from the truth. Please don't post false information.
 
Wow, trully a let down. They could at least of had the courtesy to reprint the Primes/Legends/Litographs from the HGSS sets.

We all knew for months that this set would be bad... we may not have realized how especially bad it was going to be but we all knew it was going to be weak. We were kind of set up because the last time we were given a Reprint set was Power Keepers before Diamond and Pearl came out. That set was awesome because in addition to unrealsed promo reprints the game us some blasts from the past in Delcatty, Balzekin, Megenton and Scott. And then they wowed us with brand new and at that time English exclusive cards like Absol EX.

So although we knew it was a long shot some of us held out hope that the entire set would not be made up of reprints of cards form the last 3 sets only. We hoped for something from the Diamond and Pearl block would come back or even possible before. Like Scramble or Boost energy or maybe even Stadiums like Crystal Beach, Giant Stump (better alternative to getting Palkia SP X'd.) or Cystation Crystal. And then there was the hope that Pokemon would come though again and make brand new cards that have never been seen before (even it they were not game changing at least they would have been new)

And of course everyone's biggest hope was that there would be something... just one little thing that would help counter Lost World. But we got nothing not one power, attack or Trainer/Supporter card that let us save cards from the lost zone. (Heck even a Power that ended you turn when you saved cards for the lost zone would have helped)

Instead we got nothing. We have an extremely broken and lets face it really an abomination of the spirit of the game of Pokemon "Lost World Stadium" In the entire history of the game of Pokenmon decks have been created with one goal and one goal only to take six prizes from your opponent before they could do the same to you. (yes there have been a few exceptions in decks that existed to deck an opponent but these were few and far in between)

But now we have a win condition that had nothing to do with KO'ing your opponent. It is possible to not take any of your prizes and still win. Donk decks at least have to KO something to win, You can combat decks that try to deck you out by playing extra cards that shuffle cards from your hand or discard pile back into your deck to buy you more time. But with the lost zone we have no count no strategy, nothing at all to counter its ability to win the game without taking one single prize. You can be up after taking 5 prizes to their zero, but if they have put 6 pokemon into your lost zone all they have to do is throw down a stadium and all the sudden all the past history of pokemon does not matter they can say.. prizes be darned I win you loose.

I can except the set for being worthless, what I am still having problems dealing with is the we are stuck with a ubber broken mechanic that has no counter.. and States and Regional's are just around the corner.

In particular, I agree with this statement %100. Imagine a Supporter that lets you either recover 1-3 Pokemon or Energy from your Discard Pile OR lets you recover 1-3 Pokemon from the Lost Zone and shuffle them back into your deck. Or maybe a basic pokemon that has the same ability as a 'come-into-play' Power. I'd probably throw one into every deck I made. Alas...
 
Yes, Time and only Time will eventually tell. For now, however, Time enjoys keeping its secrets.
