This is a new deck idea I had today. This one involves controlling your opponent as well as having free retreat cost! It lets you maximize your control over the game from the get go. So, lemme present...
Control
R/S Modified
Pokemon: 23
4 Dunsparce (Sandstorm)(Gets me what I need as far as Basics go, the staple played in all decks)
3 Bagon (Dragon Eye)(I'd prefer not to have a basic with Colorless weakness mainly because of the card above)
3 Shelgon (Scrunch)(Better than the other two, Rolling Attack is pretty nice actually)
3 Salamence (Dragon Wind)(Theme of the deck, Dragon Wind combo with Dodrio)
3 Krabby (FR/LG)(I guess you could Nap...but yeah, needed for...)
3 Kingler (FR/LG)(Backup hitter; Salt Water allows for quick power up, nice damage)
2 Doduo (FR/LG)(Because Running Around is definitely cool, oh and needed for...)
2 Dodrio (FR/LG)(Free retreat definitely is a cool thing, combo with Salamence)
Energy: 17
9 Water (Kingler likes these)
5 Fire (They're hot, and Salamence uses them too)
3 Double Rainbow (Nice to use with Salamence)
Trainers: 20
4 Steven's Advice (Drawing)
4 Celio's Advice (Pokemon Advantage)
4 VS Seeker (Re-use Supporters)
2 Mr. Briney's Compassion (Healing/Switching)
2 Professor Oak's Research (Shuffling)
2 Desert Ruins (Stadium; ex Punisher)
2 Switch (Switching)
Strategy: Get Salamence and Dodrio going. Salamence lets you GOW anything for free. Dodrio lets you retreat Salamence for free. Kingler is this deck's backup hitter. I like Kingler because you can start with a Krabby, and actually have a decent shot of doing damage after using Salt Water. Hyper Pump is above average in terms of damage goes. Energy speaks for itself. Trainers should too. Switch cards are needed so I can keep retreating and using the combo as often as I need to.
There you go. What do you think?
