Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Create a Set: Mega Man X

And now, my second Shining Pokemon.

Dr. Doppler's Shining Kecleon
(C)
70 HP
Weakness: (F)
Resistance: N/A
Retreat Cost: (C)

Poke-Body: Color Change
Whenever Dr. Doppler's Shining Kecleon is attacked, Dr. Doppler's Shining Kecleon's type becomes the same as the type of the Pokemon that attacked Dr. Doppler's Shining Kecleon.

(F)(P)(P) Copier
Choose an attack of any Pokemon in play. Copier copies that attack except for its Energy costs. You must still do anything else required to use that attack.

(F)(F)(G)(G) Paint Trick
Flip a coin for each Pokemon in play (including Dr. Doppler's Shining Kecleon). If heads, this attack does 40 damage to that Pokemon.

I realized as I made this card that there's never been a Shining Pokemon that was Colorless. For Colorless Pokemon, the rule will be that (C) can't be used in attack costs. Instead, base the costs on the attack.
EDIT: Oops, didn't know about Shining Noctowl. Shows how much I know about Shinings.

Magna Centipede's Shining Ampharos
90 HP {L}
Basic Pokémon (You can't have more than 1 Magna Centipede's Shining Ampharos in your deck.)

{L}{R} Wire Burst The Defending Pokémon is now Burned. 20
{L}{P}{P} Psychic Spark Each Defending Pokémon is now Confused. For each Pokémon that became Confused in this way, flip a coin. If heads, that Pokémon cannot retreat during your opponent's next turn. 40

Weakness: {F}
Resistance: {M}
Retreat Cost: {C}{C}

EDIT: Better, but if you mean what I think you mean by "For each Pokemon tha became Confused in this way,..." you'd have to say it as, "For each Defending Pokemon, unless that Pokemon was already Confused,...".

And now, my third Shining for the set.

Armored Armadillo's Shining Shuckle
(F)
60 HP
Weakness: (W)
Resistance: N/A
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)

Poke-Body: Super Defense
Whenever an attack does damage to Armored Armadillo's Shining Shuckle, reduce that damage by 30.

(F)(G) Bide 20

(F)(F)(R)(R) Release Energy 30x
You may not use this attack unless Armored Armadillo's Shuckle used its Bide attack on your last turn. Discard a (R) Energy attached to Armored Armadillo's Shining Shuckle or this attack does nothing. This attack does 30 damage times the number of damage counters on Armored Armadillo's Shining Shuckle.

Only 1 more character needs a Shining Pokemon, then we're done!

Wheel Gator's Shining Latias
70 HP {C}

Basic Pokemon

You can’t have more than 1 Wheel Gator's Shining Latias in your deck.

Poke-POWER Harmonious Souls
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this PokéPower. For the rest of the turn, Wheel Gator's Shining Latias has a copy of every attack your Pokémon with Latias in their names in play have (including their Energy costs and anything else required in order to use those attacks, such as discarding Energy cards). This PokéPower can’t be used if Wheel Gator's Shining Latias has a Special Condition.

{W}{L} Infinity Dance
Flip a coin. If heads, return any number of energy cards attached to any of your Pokemon to your hand.

{P}{P}{R}{W} Desperation Flare 50
If your opponent has 2 or fewer Prizes, this attack's base damage is now 90 instead of 50.

I think Dr. Doppler and Gate should have a few more Pokémon. So here's a few more for them. I also have a few more Pokémon for Toxic Seahorse. Note that the second chain for him reflects the "seahorse" part of him and each Pokémon in that particular chain has an attack that poisons.

Sigma's Shining Gengar
80 HP {P}
Basic Pokémon (You can't have more than 1 Sigma's Shining Gengar in your deck.)

Poké-POWER Mood Shifts
Once during your turn (before your attack), if Sigma's Shining Gengar is not a {G} Pokémon, you may change its type (color) to {G}, or if Sigma's Shining Gengar is a {G} Pokémon, you may change its type (color) to {P}. You can't change Sigma's Shining Gengar's type (color) if Sigma's Shining Gengar is affected by a Special Condition.

Gate's Shining Smeargle
50 HP {C}

Basic Pokemon

You can’t have more than 1 Gate's Shining Smeargle in your deck.

{R}{C} Heated Energy Tailwhip 10
The Defending Pokemon is now Burned.

{M}{F} Spike Scatter
Until the end of your opponent's next turn, whenever 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon becomes his or her Active Pokemon, place 4 damage counters on that Pokemon.
(Benching or evolving Gate's Shining Smeargle ends this effect).

Weakness: {F}
Resistance: {P}
Retreat Cost: {C}

EDIT: >____< I can't believe mixed up weakness and resistance. On the other hand, I feel that the use of {C} is required. Notice that Shining Noctowl has a {C} in its attack. Also, Promo Smeargle has 40 Hp, while Neo Smeargle has 50. Only Aquapolis Smeargle has 60. Also notice that no Shining has more HP than a "regular" card. Finally, {M} is no longer a problem since its damage-reducing properties are now restricted to {M} type Pokemon.

I hope you like it.

Note: I also went through and deleted all of my posts (except the top post and any edit requests that are not yet done) that didn’t have any cards, which explains why this topic is shorter than it was before. I also request that others who have posted on this set do the same – if your post has no cards, please delete it.

My next post will list Pokemon cards that have still not been done and would fit their character’s themes.

Here is a list of the themes of every character currently in the expansion, as well as an exhaustive (well, as exhaustive as I could make it) list of the Pokemon that fit that character’s theme and haven’t been made yet. Note that if a dual-type Pokemon fits a character’s theme, even if it’s because of one of its types, you may still make cards for that line either one of the TCG types for that Pokemon’s types. Even if they fit themes, though, I do not want any more Jirachi or Deoxys cards. I also do not want any Unown cards, even though they do fit a character’s theme and have not been done. If any Pokemon is not listed here and has not been done, and you feel it fits a character's theme, please send me a PM. If I agree that it fits, I will let you know, in which case you are welcome to create a card of that Pokemon for the set.

  • Armored Armadillo themes around armored Pokemon. This includes Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Rock and/or Steel, as well as any Pokemon known for having a high Defense stat in the Game Boy games. Remaining possibilities: Aerodactyl, Cloyster line, Forretress line, Kabutops line, Magcargo line, Magneton line, Omastar line, Registeel, Scizor line, Skarmory, Sudowoodo.
  • Axle the Red themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Grass. Remaining possibilities: Meganium line, Parasect line, Ludicolo line.
  • Chill Penguin themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Ice. Remaining possibilities: None.
  • Dark Dizzy themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Dark. Remaining possibilities: Sableye, Houndoom line, Tyranitar line, Sneasel, Umbreon line (may also include Espeon, but not other Eeveelutions), Sneasel, Cacturne line, Absol.
  • Dr. Doppler themes around Pokemon that can copy the abilities of other Pokemon. This is not an easily defined theme, but includes Pokemon that, in the Game Boy games, naturally learn Transform, Mirror Move, Sketch, and/or Mimic. Remaining possibilities: Mew, Pidgeot line, Fearow line.
  • Gate themes around Legendary Pokemon (which, for this list, consists of Pokemon that cannot be caught more than once in the Game Boy games and cannot be bred), and Pokemon whose only type in the Game Boy games is Normal, including any Pokemon they evolve from/into. Because of this second part, he has quite a lot of possibilities. Remaining possibilities: Aipom, Articuno, Blissey line, Clefable line, Ditto, Dunsparce, Furret line, Granbull line, Ho-oh, Wigglytuff line, Kangaskhan, Lickitung, Lugia, Miltank, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Moltres, Zapdos, Raticate line, Smeargle, Ursaring line, Linoone line, Slaking line, Exploud line, Delcatty line, Spinda, Castform, Kecleon, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Rayquaza.
  • Magma Dragoon themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Fire. Remaining possibilities: Typhlosion line, Flareon line (no other Eeveelutions), Ho-oh.
  • Magna Centipede themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Electric. Remaining possibilities: Lanturn line, Jolteon line (no other Eeveelutions).
  • Morph Moth themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Bug. Remaining possibilities: None.
  • Sigma themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Dark, Ghost and/or Psychic. Remaining possibilities: Alakazam line, Hypno line, Exeggutor line, Girafarig, Houndoom line, Jynx line, Lugia, Mew, Murkrow, Slowbro and Slowking line, Starmie line, Xatu line, Mightyena line, Gardevoir line, Medicham line, Sharpedo line, Solrock, Lunatone, Claydol line, Metagross line, Latias, Latios, Celebi.
  • Storm Eagle themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Flying. Remaining possibilities: Butterfree line, Charizard line, Dragonite line, Gyarados line, Jumpluff line, Ledian line, Scizor line, Beautifly line (but not Dustox line), Masquerain line, Ninjask line (but not Shedinja), Volbeat, Illumise, Altaria line, Salamence line, Rayquaza.
  • Toxic Seahorse themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Poison. Remaining possibilities: Ariados line, Beedrill line, Gengar line, Qwilfish, Venomoth line, Venusaur line, Victreebel line, Vileplume line (but not Bellossom), Dustox line (but not Beautifly line), Tentacruel line.
  • Wheel Gator themes around Pokemon whose types in the Game Boy games include Dragon, plus Pokemon which, on G/S/C, are in the “Dragon” breeding group. Remaining possibilities: Arbok line, Charizard line.
  • X themes around the starter Pokemon from the various Game Boy games. Remaining possibilities: Blastoise line, Charizard line, Venusaur line, Eeveelutions. [Note: The Eeveelutions qualify because, even though a player couldn’t start with them in any of the games, Eevee was your rival’s starter in Yellow.]
  • Zero has another subjective theme, which is hard to describe. Basically, he themes around Pokemon who use claws, blades, etc. for a number of different attacks. Remaining possibilities: Farfetch’d, Kabutops line, Kingler line, Skarmory, Slaking line, Ninjask line (but not Shedinja), Aggron line, Persian line, Armaldo line, Metagross line.
Of course, none of these ideas are required (after all, the set already has about 500 cards), but if anyone still wants to contribute Pokemon, this should let you know what you have to choose from. Also, any Trainers or Special Energy that fit the set theme are always welcome. I do not expect all of these Pokemon to be done -- that would add up to 245 additional cards.

Now, some Trainers.

Gate's Laboratory
Stadium Card

Whenever an effect of an attack, Poke-Power, Poke-Body, or Trainer card would allow a player to search his or her deck for one or more cards, that player instead shuffles his or her deck and draws a number of cards equal to the highest number of cards that player would have been allowed to search for.

Gate
Supporter

Search your deck for 3, 4, or 5 different Basic Pokemon with Gate in their names and show them to your opponent. If there are not at least 3 different Basic Pokemon in your deck with Gate in their names, shuffle your deck and ignore any other effects of this card. Shuffle all cards chosen in this way. Your opponent chooses one of them without looking. Put the chosen card onto your Bench face down, and shuffle the rest into your deck. If, for any reason, either player must know what that card is in order to apply an effect, including damage from an attack, flip it over.

Dark Dizzy
Supporter

You may not play this card if you have played any Trainer cards this turn. Until the end of your opponent's next turn, no Trainer cards can be played.

Sunflorazumarill, if you did a Dark Dizzy card, it's not posted.

Houndoom of Hell, like Sunflorazumarill said, a bunch of those cards are broken, and that Rayquaza needs to belong to someone. Please fix the cards accordingly.

Here's an Armaldo line. Dont know if I should put in Claw Fossil since it is already made.

Zero's Anorith
50 HP
(F)

(C) Scratch - 10

(F)(F) Mud Slap - 30

Weakness: (G)
Resistance -30: (L)
Retreat: (C)

Zero's Armaldo
140 HP
(F)

Poke-Body: Spikes - If your opponent switches Pokemon, place 10 damage on the new Defending Pokemon. (This power only works when Zero's Armaldo ex is your Active Pokemon)

(C)(C) Slash - 30

(F)(F)(C) Claw Stab - Does 10 damage to your opponent's Benched Pokemon (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance) 30

Weakness: (W)(G)
Resistance -30: (L)(R)
Retreat: (C)(C)(C)

Getting there, but remember that Pokemon that are not Pokemon-ex can have at most 120 HP, one Weakness, and one Resistance (with the possible exception of Dragons).
