And at what point would those "lost" refs make a difference? When you trade with TheDarkTwins? RainbowRichards? Me?

Personally once you get a couple dozen trades in, people should trust you (though a Good trader can turn bad.....).
 
I am not really sure how you would be able to check to see if all my refs have put me down or not but is there anyway that someone can look through my list of refs and tell me who has actually put me down so I can go through and make the others add me as well so there is no hassle when it comes time for me to sell off all my cards. Please let me know if there is anyway to do this or anyway you can explain to me how to do it.

I would take a bet that over 30 of these people dont even have a ref list on the g/b trader list. Shouldn't those people be suspended until they did? What should I tell the people when I send them a PM? Just ask them to make a ref list? What if they do not? Are you guys then able to talk to them?

Well, that may be true, but for those who trade with you, there shouldn't be any difference if you have 78 verifiable or 179 in total - either way, you have a heck of a lot of references, and should be considered an Uber Trader (totally safe to trade with).

Ok fair enough, good question. Since it would take quite some time to check out your list totally, I'll give you a hint. Take your list .... go to the Good/Bad trader list .... notice the names under those who are considered good traders? .... find the names you have from your list and click on the names, it'll bring you to their reference post. .... If you find you aren't listed in their refs, get in touch with them. This may mean through pm or email. If they feel you are a good trader, they'll put you up on their list, but if perhaps they didn't feel quite as happy with the trade as you originally thought, it doesn't mean you didn't trade with them, it just means that your trade isn't verifiable - it doesn't make you a bad person, or bad trader.

Suspending those who don't have a list - no, bad idea. I would never force someone to make a post where they didn't want to. It's a priveledge to post your refs. If a person doesn't want to take advantage of that, why should anyone force them to do so?
 
Also, Kemony's list would only give her 34 refs. Unique refs are the only ones that count, not multiple trades. I know this makes no difference because she would have the 20 needed to sell/auction..just pointing out that the 46 ref total is incorrect.
 
Yea I also had to look at the good/bad trader thread. Out of my +60 refs only 20 ref me. I just made it in ;)
 
Does it count only those people on that list or does it count people who actually posted there refs?
 
Kemony, if you don't see their name on that list, it's because we haven't considered them as "Good" traders yet. They either haven't been on long enough to have a link, they haven't gotten 10 references yet, they haven't got a post on that thread, or they are considered cautionary, or bad traders. Those are the reasons why they wouldn't have a link. If you find you still don't have 20 verifiable refs once you went through that list, then you also have the option to use the search function on the gym, though I must warn you, I've found it's hard to find something you need in a specific thread with that function. You might also check out each page individually with the control f function. Once you find your 20 refs, (if you're past your 1 year mark) put each link down on a pm and send it to either Mike, Brian, or I, and we'll allow you to auction/sell.

One last thing, you might want to consider the idea about your references as was mentioned in post 44. There are references, and unique references. We need to see the unique ones, not just people you have traded with 67 times (just an example, not a real number pertaining to your particular refs).
 
I just was not sure if I could go by post because I know me personally I am not on that list of people with links which is why I asked if they had to be part of that to be considered a ref is all. Thanks!
 
As P_A stated, there are a number of reasons why someone is not on the Good Trader list with a link - one of the most common is that they have not asked to be put on the list! But all you have to do is have a post on the G/B Trader thread listing everyone you have traded with (you can cut & paste the list you have posted on this thread (just be sure you spell everyone's name correctly!!!!)) and when you have enough refs, just email Da Tribunal. Oh, and you might want to PM the people you have traded with but do not appear on their trading list to have you put on it.

Also, repeated infractions on the gym, in any part of the gym (not just here in the trading/auction/selling forums), will nullify your privilege to use this part of the forums. In other words, be a good citizen, and you will be rewarded.

4) Again, this auction/sales sub-forum is for pokemon themed merchandise only.

5) If you plan on holding an auction for any items on another website, like that other popular auction website, links are not allowed here, and will get your thread deleted.



These rules will hopefully contribute to a safer auction experience. Most times this will mean that those who are interested in buying will be able to bid with confidence since these users will be the best of the best as it were. Also, for those who are able to auction, it will mean we have confidence in you, and your trading abilities. If there are any questions about how this will be administered, please get in touch with a mod or admin.

BDS, I was under the impression from PokePop that if your topic was more trade then sell it would be okay. I am now told that my Topic that has been nearly the same for about/over 18 months is not okay by P_A. I am getting very confused and frustrated. I would like some direction on this.

Sorry Drew, but it's a mess to moderate otherwise.
Wrap up the sales in the Trade forum and shift it over to the other forum for sales.

That is really really annoying. I mean seriously. But anyway, can I keep it up for the next few days til I have a chance to update it. I mean I have to update all my ebay stuff first due to the fact that the new Postage Fees kick in.

Just to keep everything simple. Yes your 18-month old topic hasn't changed in that time period. But now it has to. Sorry for the inconvience as i know it'll mean more work for you, but this way everyone and everything is standard.

I believe I have met the requirements for sale via gallery contributions. Rather than post another topic which you may not accept, can I ask to be accepted, and then have the below topic moved and unlocked? I created it within minutes of the new rules, and it was duly locked. I'd prefer not to have multiple threads all over, as I think it makes traders look unreliable and suspicious. (Multiple trading threads is one of the first things I check for when trading, as it suggests a level of accountability when a trader maintains the same list for a long time.)

Actually I looked at the link. That was no problem. The problem is that I can't move the thread while being inside it. I can only move posts around when I'm inside a particular thread. To move the thread, I have to be outside on the page that the original post was last reported as a link, so I can click an outside box. I realize I'm not explaining myself very clearly, but needless to say, it's sort of a moot point now, since the thread has been moved.
 
No, I get it. You can't move a chair when you're sat on it.

I was just sort of apologising, since it can't be much fun wandering around trying to find other peoples' posts, especially in the trading forum. I've lost days in there, myself.

P_A, before i start my "store" i would like to know if i met criteria, I think im short a few, but ive uploaded 13 or so images, im a trade ref 2, and ive written an article, but it didnt get published.
