I don't have a problem with that. This sub forum is for auctioning/selling of pokemon stuff. If you want something that no one is offering, a wants thread is fine with me.
 
I suppose it would be pointless to require 20 refs for that, wouldn't it. The only thing I'd require if I have anything to say about it (and of course this is important enough to discuss among the mods) is that each of these threads must have a title that starts with "Wanted to buy:". Then if the poster makes a deal for the items, the thread gets locked. Of course there would be some problems if the original poster tried to trade, or sell their own stuff on that same thread. I'm sure we'll figure out the appropriate infractions.
 
I guess my question is this...

While I have been a member here for less than a year, and while this is my second post, I do have enough references. I'm a member of GAB, and part of their Inquisitor team investigating bad traders. I had references on another (formerly) popular Pokemon site as well. Would I be allowed to sell?

Good day Marble! Nice to see you joined ! Yes it is the same pokemonmike you worked with!:biggrin: Unfortunately we can not bend the rules and allow you to sell without having the neccessary amount of refs and a member here for 1 yr.

Is there any way a mod can tell me how long I've been a member on Let Fire Fall for. I've been on here for mad long and I started out with a different user name and one of the mods was giving me an attitute saying it didn't count if I started on a different one and switched over.

June 22nd / 06 you joined. So if you can list 20 verifiable refs under this name then you should have no problems selling, And by verifiable the person you list as a ref must also have a refs list with your username on it.:thumb: And we never give attitude just the facts!:thumb:

Am I allowed to make a Thread stating that I want to buy specific cards from people since I am not the one selling?
 
ace: yes you are, but you should have a title with this in it: "Looking to buy: .... " with the name of the card after it. If you are looking for multiple cards, you should say "Looking to buy multiple cards, including ...." then add one or two names of cards.
 
When people say they are "Looking to buy.." the people that post there to sell should have 20 refs verifable, though right? I am seeing a few people posting in them that I really doubt have that many refs. I won't say names, but it just seems like that would be a 'rule' as well.

If you have been here for a over a year, I looked to see how many 'verifiable' refs you have, and I saw 15 when I checked. I am not a mod, and I know that, just trying to help you out. Sometimes people forget to put you on their refs list.
Just trying to help you out, maybe you should check their ref pages to see which haven't, then PM the ones that haven't and ask kindly?

You have to search through the refs pages of the people to see if you are reciprocated. You could also use the 'search this thread' [while in the good/bad traders thread] to find the ones that are reciprocated.

Also, I thought we traded as well, but I wasn't sure.
 
Or another way is to go to each page on the thread and "control f" for your name. It might be a bit faster that way since internet explorer does the work for you instead of the site. Your choice of course.
