Geez Andy that is what you call negative pride.

Elm: Yay someone actually agrees on that.
Please, everyone that knows me IRL knows that I don't mean half of what I say here(well, unless it's constructive). I know that I can and might get beaten, especially since I have only very close to an idea of what I'm playing. For those who have been offended, bothered, or in any way negatively impacted by this, I apologize and will keep it to a minumum.

EDIT: All disrespectful posts eliminated.

I'll be taking the 11-14 Worlds invite everyone, just thought I'd clear that up if anyone wasn't sure about that.

Lol, Andy. Making that kind of a comment gives me reason to give someone else in your age group some uber godly decklist to win :thumb:

Andy M's Pokemon career, RIP: 2005-2006

Just kidding, but seriously, kids. Bickering and whining is for the 15+, yet I hear more of it from you guys. pffffft! :wink:

I am all with u Patriarch.
11-14 is way too egotistical now a days. I try not to be too cocky most of the time. I say settle it in the arena.
It was kinda funny cause DOUBLE TROUBLE was being harassed by some kids at states and they said they could beat him easily. It was so funny to see them lose horribly though.
And Andy: I really could care less about your comment I was just pointing out that it was kinda arrogant.

Birch I was wondering when do you think this event will end?
I want to go to A KONs Cosplay Contest Cosplay usually starts around 7pm and runs through 11pm. I am thinking about Cosplaying as Pikachu, and dropping the Kimono Girl/or the Naruto/ Full Metal Alchemist/ Floppy Ear Club.
Full Matal Fantacy is showing again I really want to see it again they showed it at oni con. I can always play swiss and take it from there if I wanna drop or not.

It is hard to say when this event will end. With 100-players, I would hope that the "Swiss Rounds" will be over by 7:00pm. The "Final Cuts" could last until 11:00pm.

MP Birch has been asked about the "admission price"to "A-Kon" for the "Dallas~Gym Challenge". I have been told that for a "One Day Gaming Pass" will be $10.00. If you purchase a "Weekend Gaming Pass" (Friday-Sunday) the price is $20.00. These passes only allows you in the "Gaming Areas".

To commensurate for these "Addmission Fees" to "A-Kon", each player will receive two boster packs along with the other "Promo Stuff" that you would normally get. Also, we will have 8-player "Booster Draft Tournaments" on Friday through Sunday for $12.00 per player. Each tournament will have a "prize pool" of five booster packs to the winner and three to the second place finisher. You may play as many of these as you would like.

Thank you.

Master Professor Birch
so let me just make sure i am correct you can by a $20 or $10 pass and be allowed in to what gaming areas exactly is there more then pokemon? Also if you want to veiw other parts of A-Kon what do you buy. Thanks in advance

We are there for you MPB!!

Cheez Andy..... a little Big for your Britches there buddy! Leave the Attitude for the 15+.. dont emulate the horror... create wellness!

Birch quick question I paid the $42 I pre paid on the web site for the whole weekend, ie for the full convention (since Tina is an Anime Freak). Does this also cover Gaming fee or is Gaming fee seperate? I think General membership should cover it at all the other cons i been to thats the way it is.

Yeah I paid for Friday-Saturday-Sunday. Any 18+ person who I know who has enough money (all 17- must have SIGNED parental consent) may ask me to stay in my room. I will inforce the fact no one will pay for you. And homeofmew and co expects you to pay.
Last year the split room cost was $100 for 2 days (amoung 4 people).
However the cost of the room is split between us, of course depending if you stay 1 or 2 nights.
There will be other people in the room, incluing Houston Anime Lovers and Pokemon people.

See everyone again at oni con houston

Poke-parent admission cost

MP Birch,

Just to be clear, do Poke-parents who plan to attend but not play get to get in on the $10 One Day Gaming Pass or would we need to buy the $35 Saturday admission to A-Kon?

~~~"A-KON" Admission~~~
MP Birch has received some questions about admission to "A-KON". Players and parents will be able to buy a "Gaming-Only" admission badge for $10.00 per person per day. Or you can purchase a "Weekend Gaming-Only" badge for $20. (This is good for Friday-Sunday.) The "Dallas~Gym Challenge" is free, but you must purchase a "Gaming-Only" or regular "A-KON" badge to enter into "A-KON".. If you are interested in seeing all of "A-KON", your admission badge will be $35 per person (ages 13 & up), $15 per person (ages 5-12), and if you are age 5 years and under, you will get in free.
You may go to the "A-KON" website for mor details at the link below:
If you have more questions please post them on this thread.
Thanks.
Hey, I love that idea. All the parents who come in and register to play as well. I would really love more rounds of play. I would be thrilled to make the cut but if not then getting more rounds would be cool. The extra packs for the kids is nice. Now I have to figure out if I can convince some friends (thinking of D&D friends that will be there) to come sign up and get my nephew some more free packs.
