This is the best original deck idea I've seen on here in a LOOONG time. Major props. I'm definitely going to test it when everything comes out

I think I see a problem with ditto and its viability of even being useful in this deck.

And its from the fact that the translation says that "Transform" moves damage counters. The second they get 3 or more damage counters on one of ur dittos it becomes either useless or a loss.

You have to make the choice of whether to leave ditto there or to put a rattata there to remove it and let ur opponent take a prize.

Unless I'm misunderstanding that translation I don't see ditto that useful in this deck. Does ditto keep it's HP even after using the ability?

I understand your concern, SSBBDaisy, but I don't think that will be an issue. Why? Well, first the build originally listed is essentially dead. My main play testing partner was busy over the weekend, and I was busy today.

Second, Ditto isn't the problem then, Ratatta still is. Think carefully; you worried about something hitting Ditto for 30 while it is on the Bench. Well if it isn't a Ditto, it has to be a Benched Rattata... which would simply be OHKOed. Ditto at least might be useful Transforming into something else, like another Foongus or Tynamo (both have 40 HP). It might be as simple as including a few Potion or an Aspertia City Gym after all.

I know I haven't been gotten a new build up yet, and that is because I have both so few and so many options. I think my big mistake was trying to make Raticate my go-to attacker. That isn't necessary. Amoongus is actually handy if you can strand something up front. One odd idea I have (and am working on a separate but related deck) is WreckGAR, where I am using Garbodor/Amoongus/Raticate. The rest of the deck is a solid, simply beatdown affair, but if I encounter a "better beatdown" deck, odds are it consists of mostly Pokemon EX with few or no Abilities, and suddenly the Raticates and Amoongus go from being annoying to clenching the game.

In theory.

hmmm. Well its seems to me that if ur opponent has knowledge about this deck they can take it down. My goal if I was fighting against this deck is to some how spread at least 30 damage to all ur dittos b4 u put down rattatas.

EDIT: If this deck becomes popular, it will make espeon techs popular XP

Espeon only helps if you've got Energy on the target. This would have to be the top performing deck for that to really be a concern (or every deck would have to be even better at Energy acceleration). ;)

Right now, with current testing, my opponent's deck just needs to not fail to take this down. >_< The build is too fragile; either you have the perfect hand or it is a countdown until your opponent takes all prizes or runs you out of Pokemon. If it were working, remember that you're taking something down each turn. So you may want to spread, but the question is "can you?" If you're Landorus EX, then yes, yes you can. Most other decks will have to get pretty lucky themselves so that Kyurem/Registeel EX/Darkrai EX can start hitting fast enough...

...and seriously, Potion (or while overkill, Max Potion) solves that issue. Still, thanks for the input, and the concern. After all, I learned that concerns over stability of my first build weren't just warranted, but were likely understated. XD

I really like this deck idea.

One other problem I see is having dead hands. You only have 8 draw supports. I see alot of running out of hand problems. IDK :/

Well I decided I'd have to try another approach... and here it is:

Name: Ditto/Amoongus/Raticate/Ether

Pokemon x 18
3 Amoonguss
4 Ditto
3 Foongus, NEX-8
2 Raticate
2 Rattata

4 Cheren
1 Computer Search
3 Crushing Hammer
2 Devolution Spray

Cards not yet released outside of Japan but included in this deck or already mentioned in my first post are

Name: Ether
Set: Cold Flare

You can use any number of Item cards during your turn.
ID#: 055/059
Name: Escape Rope
Set: Freeze Bolt
Category: Trainer
Type: Item

Text: Your opponent switches his or her Active Pokemon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokemon, if any. You switch your Active Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon, if any.

You can use any number of Item cards during your turn.
ID#: 054/059
Strategy: Have Sableye spam, spam, spam Items to set yourself up/tear your opponent down, and when the time is right push for the Sporprise/Super Fang OHKO combo. I didn't think I had room for Emolga (which would really need four slots to have decent odds of opening). Spamming Level Ball will let Sableye do the deed. If you can't OHKO whatever have the most Energy, Hammer it.

Energy acceleration will come from DCE and/or Ether. Pokedex allows Ether to work despite having a low count of Basic Energy. Still can't risk a lot of Rattata because they are begging to be OHKOed. Foongus isn't much better. This is still an untested build but harassing my opponent with Sableye is getting to be pretty common for me.

This may not work but have you thought about using a ninetails at all? It could fish out something from the bench then w/ amoongus do 120 with one fire

EDIT: Drat. Didn't realize that someone else suggested it. Well that's what I get for skimming through posts. XD

Have you considered Mew EX? Since Raticate has such low HP it is fairly likely that it will get KO'd immediately, but could use the attack instead, and it could readily abuse Sableye's attack as well. Of course you'd have to be wary of Mewtwo EX if you use it, but it might help with your deck become a bit more... Versatile. :D
