Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

do YOUR friends know that you play pokemon?

Oh ya everyone knows I play Pokemon.
You step in my room, you know I play Pokemon.
You talk to me and in some way you will know.
You look at me and in some way you will know.

Dang... i remember back in the day when everyone played pokemon. now... if you play pokemon then your officially a "dork" (or at least thats how it is in NE ohio.) so i pretty much keep to myself when it comes to the tcg. i have 2 friends who play and come to tourneys with me but other than them no one knows.

hey... by any chance can i borrow that essay? I'd really like to show some of those jerks at my school how pokemon isn't for 6 yr. olds.

I live in Northeast Ohio and I get what you're saying, but to be honest, this little stint pulled by high school kids is common everywhere. Its just peer pressure. My league kids are mixed on this. Some are open about it and don't care about the pressure, the rest try to hide it. It really depends on how self-conscious you are. If you don't care what other people think, then go for it, be honest with yourself and don't be a poser like the rest of them. I wear my nationals shirts and other pokemon swag on my own campus because frankly, I'm a nerd and I'm proud of the fact that I'm a nerd. I don't have to be someone else to make me happy. If you're a little more weary about things, theres no shame in hiding it. Its not like the high school kids are gonna follow you around and try to find that you like Pokemon.

The way I look at it is if you're good and are making the money out of it, they shouldn't be talking. In all honesty, they shouldn't be talking anyways, but usually when you mention the scholarships, they shut up pretty fast. Besides, it looks more amusing when young adults in the area sport it too (My girlfriend works at gamestop and openly shows off her Pokemon tattoos to high school preppy kids and they're like wuuut)

yeah, i am in college now and i really dont care anymore if people know or not. i mean i tell them about all the cool stuff that can potentially be won and they are like, "OMG I WANNA PLAY!" i mean if people are gonna make fun of you for playing a game....then they aren't really your friends.

yes, but then i tell them i won 2500$ from it, and ask politely how much they made from the marijuana sales recently.

I saw a girl at an alexisonfire concert, she had mario and yoshi tatooed on her back :D

If she was wearing a shirt that let you see the tatoos I'm not surprised she was at an alexisonfire concert.

Yeah, my guyfriends know. Some of them play the video game.

What's with not telling girls anything? As a girl, that sucks because we just think you're "one of the pack". I would've never gotten together with my current boyfriend if I didn't know he liked video games, board games, trivia, etc. Would you rather date a mindless pretty girl who cares only about cheerleading practice, or would you rather date a girl who shares the same interests as you and you can actually have conversation with?

If you have to hide something about your life (especially something major, like your favorite hobby) from your girlfriend/boyfriend, I can tell you right now that relationship isn't going to work out for longer than a couple months.

/end dating advice :p

I tell everyone, I do not tell girls, I think.

I met my girlfriend through Pokemon.. Surprise, I've been with the crazy woman for almost 4 years now. There's nothing wrong with telling the ladies. I'm sure they'd rather know about your interests than anything.

CRAP I should edit it.. shes a moderator here! x.x
