Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

DP-on | Decks after rotation.

What does Toterra lose next season??? Nothing the deck intact. Delta is gone,Techs like Mew * d/Jirachi Ex/Cess/Crystal Beach/Celios/Double/Scramble but the deck can still function without Scramble/DRE.

Torterra/Sceptile Is what I'm using until Worlds 2009. Only thing it beats it bad is, only Charizard/Togekiss? I'm actually happy that DRE and scrambles are going away, GG has been countered bad already. Torterra beats it, Banette, Mismagius, Darkrai if lucky, also Garchomp. I have a feeling that the next season will be more intense than this season now.

Lol Kingdra out speeds Torterra by so much. With Alakazam out lets see you use Claydol. Kingdra can set up without Claydol. Lets see do that with Torterra.

Well, assuming that you go for Kingdra first, then Claydol, THEN Alakazam, Usually Claydol gets to use it's power a few times before you stop it. And then, if the Torterra player has 2 Claydols out, well, they can keep using one of them. Sure, Kingdra is faster, I'm not debating that. But Torterra has better overall set up. Which can, and will win games.

^ Turn three Alakazam(My turns) 60% of the time. That gives at most 3 turns to use Claydol. You try to set up all the stuff you need including another Claydol without a Claydol.

If someone gets one DP Toterra what can you do most of the game,When the Lv,X hits the field its like180 HP pokemon to Kingdra(resis)then the constant heal nakes that 40 your doing useless and the damage output is more. 60/-20 to 40/20 If you go by the factor Toterra will win majority of the time. Then Leafean X with it and Dawn Stadium, thats minus 30-40,stop claydol and let me heal/energy accel or stop leafeon x and let me setup, you make the decision.

The only real problem thats notable is will you play a heavy oriented deck with AMU unfortunately sticking in format? Kingdra is powerful, but AMU is also efficient and losing a Torterra in one shot is not a pleasant sight.

I can see your point in combatting Kingdra, but you have to think about all options in this metagame and not just one threat. Underestimate any single deck and you're bound on the road of defeat. Magnezone hurts Torterra also due to powerful late game efficiency.

Im not doubting the deck,Im stating that Kingdra cant just overpower Toterra as some would think. The deck is solid and Kingdra is solid, but Im just stating the advantages and disadvantages.

Torterra and Shaymin both have very strong matchups with Kingdra, the resistance and big HP REALLY make things difficult.

I'm not so sure that Torteara will be that great a choice due to AMU being able to OHKO them before they get half way set up. Lets not forget other decks out there that stand a shot at winning. *looks at Beedril*

All decks next season will have to be low nrg cost effective(spread or turn 2) or have some form of an nrg accelerator ie:weavile, togekiss, sceptile, typhlosion, leafeon X.

Butterfree is more of a fun deck to play,if you had Crystal and Cess next season then it could be more disruptful, but everything thats coming out can overpower it now. Froslass is gonna be lovely.

In the hands of someone that can consitently get 2 heads in a row butterfree is deadly. It may not seem it but it's so hard to kill becasue 120 HP and it heals a lot each turn or just puts you in a special condition.
