Mawile as a starter would be fun. I'm just happy that Claydol and Pachirisu made it.

And Porygon-Z is GOOD!

They should really stop screwing us over and give us exactly the same sets as Japan. It also makes it easier for PoP that way, too...

Unless you know something about the selection process that we don't, I think it's unfair of you to say "They should really stop screwing us over ..." Who is "they"? A faceless someone or set of someones didn't do this to "screw us over." They did it to make the next set fair, and exciting as well. If we were in on the selection process, we'd probably have made the same decisions. The wisest course of action is just to be thankful for what we did get, and go with that. Sure, complain if you want, that of course is your perogative, but just remember - you aren't hurt substantially by not getting certain cards - they are just delayed.

They cut the number of cards that they did so that the next set (A filler set like Emerald or Power Keepers) will have enough cards to be a legitimate set. How they chose which cards to cut, I don't know.
Anyways, our next set is going to be:
-The cut DP4 cards
-Japan's Starter Kit 08
-Possibly a few America-gets-them-first cards like they did in Emerald and Power Keepers

Which honeslty wouldnt be that bad of a set. The cards that were cut from this set would make the next set a good se as it is.

Well, I just bought a box of night dashing and i cant even put them to any numeral order. Can anyone please assist me with an order 1/135 please it'll be greatly appreciated.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Remember: PUI might cut some cards from DP5, and so will add on to the filler set that Burninating Torchic was talking about. Plus, in this filler set... Chomp Lv.X... happy days. Same with Porygon Lv.X. Plus all the lost GE cards, unless they're in DP5 (Phione... Eeveelutions... Fossils...). So, over all, a nice set.

Dangit! No unown P! I know it seems a silly card to worry about with all of the Eeveelutions and Garchomp but I had an awesome Gyarados - Lucario 1 energy deck untill I learned that P card I needed wasn't in this set... Oh well... :frown:

While the loss of the fossils and Eeveelutions from this expansion seems to be the most poignant, the Unowns being cut is disappointing as well. Unown P is essentially a poor man's Jolteon star, but Unown Q looked like a fun card as well to put in heavy decks.

Yes, Unown Q! Unown Q is an amazing little card. I have seen this card been used in very smart ways in Japan, like in Banette ex - where it can be easily grabbed as an extra card with Mentor and lets you (among other things) use 2 Shadow Moves per turn. :D

Anyway, to all others: It was a surprising move by the Japanese makers of the cards to release two sets at the same time in October (Moon Hunting and Night Dashing are really two different expansions IMHO, even with separate and very different booster pack art and logos), so I'm not that surprised that Pokémon USA did a less surprising move by not*releasing two sets at the same time. :p Note that there is no "DP4 set/expansion" in Japan, there's just what they call a "DP4 block", which consists of Moon Hunting, Night Dashing, and the Electivire VS. Magmortar starter decks.

All these three new products that were released in Japan in October were _awesome_, so let's look forward to the next batch of cards from them to arrive in English. :)

EDIT: And btw, I hope people's speculations/guessing about Starter Pack '08 being released in English soon turn out to be true. There are some VERY strong cards there, both Infernape and Empoleon seem to have become strong archetypes here in Japan. (That evil Empoleon gave my Magmortar deck big problems at a tourney last weekend )
