Your opponent chooses 1 of those cards. Flip that card over. If that card is either a {G} Energy card or a {G} Pokémon, this attack does no damage. If that card is neither a {G} Energy card nor a {G} Pokémon, this attack does 70 damage. Either way, flip over the other two cards and put all three cards back into your hand.

The reason you need to show your opponent your hand for Petal Deal is so you can prove that you have the necessary requirements to play. A game would be considered otherwise unfair if the entire hand consisted of cards that would guarantee a specific outcome--even one favorable for your opponent. The reason why you need to eventually flip all three cards over is to show you're not rigging the outcome of the game by selecting three cards of the same type.

Note that you're guaranteed at least 10 damage on Massive Order because Lucy's Vespiquen* must be Active in order to use the attack, and the Active slot is in play. It's quite difficult to get exactly that amount, however; to get exactly 10 damage, Lucy's Vespiquen* and the Defending Pokémon must be the only Pokémon in play (2 cards right there), the Defending Pokémon must also be unevolved (1 card in play for each additional stage), Massive Order's Energy cost must be provided by only Energy cards that provide 2 or more Energy of every type (if basic Energy cards were used, the minimum damage would be 20 since you'd need five cards right there to pay for the cost), and the Defending Pokémon can't have any Energy cards attached to it (or only 1 Energy card if the 5 Energy needed for Massive Order is provided with just 2 cards).
