Are there really that many pokemon that have the defending pokemon can't attack *blank* next turn. Without a flip, and does damage!?

I doubt Nintendo will keep Dugtrio like that. Maybe Pidgey and Pidgeotto, but not Dugtrio. If they do, it'll probably be holo. If it does, there will be some of those in one of my decks. Most definetely. Guaranteed Agility? Broken. That's why Warp Point will come back even stronger. Stockpile them, ladies, gentlemen and Venusaur (I'm just messing with ya), because this Dugtrio is sure to be hot! *Sizzle* Glad I got that outta my system.

i think they are ruing out of names or theres some weird translations
[C] Tackle (10)
[CC] A Little Harder Tackle (20)
come on now be creative like headbutt or something not a little harder tackle i don't even think it would fit on the card if its translated like that

wow...

amazing...

and, paradoxically, the absolute WORST thing that PUI could've done for the game. Think about it. We need less broken Pokemon (already got those in Blaze, Gardy, and several others that should challange them) and more powerful Trainers (the POR is a start, but we need more).

I could not agree MORE Bullados. We are in dire need of worthwhile trainers.

Give me a nice Double Gust. It's a very balanced card and would be an excellent counter to Blaziken EX.

Looking at Dugtrio's second attack, it only says the DEFENDING POKEMON not YOUR OPPONENT'S POKEMON, not even YOUR OPPONENT. It seems the the only way to end this effect of the attack is to switch your active by retreating or switching, evolve/devolve or put Dugtrio to the bench.

It seems it is a mix of agility and smokescreen but without flips. This what I notice, I hope I'm right.

Yeah, the effect (if I translated it correctly) is only on the Defending Pokemon. Switch the Defender or the Dugtrio and you can attack again.

Thanks for getting the link back up.

Those cards are crazy. Raticate is the new Linoone. Just Oak Wrath your whole deck into the discard pile and get back whatever you want.

You said it. I totally agree with you... we need some trainers that become awesome staples like Gust of Wind and Computer Search. I'd love to see a set that has the amount (and quality) of trainers that Base and Neo 1 had. Base had 26 trainers and Neo 1 had 21 trainers. Even though some of them were rare, I'd be very happy to see a Nintendo set that had that many trainers, and I think almost all (if not all) serious playerswould be happy with it, too.

Well bear in mind that this is just half of the set, folks. Since "Flight of the Legends" a new stand-alone set (think Neo Genesis and Expedition), I'm sure there might be some excellent cornerstone Trainers in the main half of the set.

In any case, I'm kinda glad that Japan has been doing their part to keep this game from turning into Trainermon like in the Dark Ages of the game...

HEHEHE.......THE FIXATION COMES AGAIN >:D

1. BULBASAUR [50 HP] (Basic Grass Pokemon)
[C] Dual Seed
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned. If tails,
the Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
<<<<<<
It should be "both poisoned and asleep" if passed the coin filp.

2. CHARIZARD ex [160 HP] (Stage 2 Fire Pokemon / Evolves from Charmeleon)
[RRRRR] Fireball (200)
Discard 5 FIRE energy attached to Charizard. Don't apply Weakness or
Resistance for this attack.
<<<<<
add one more sentance: ignore all effect on the defending pokemon that can affect damage..
...... The same in Magneton's Speed Shot attack.

HYPNO [80 HP] (Stage 1 Psychic Pokemon / Evolves from Drowzee)
[BODY] Bad Dreams
As long as Hypno is your Active Pokemon, if any Pokemon is still Asleep
between each turn, put two damage counters on that Pokemon. (????!)
<<<<<<
Remarks: That means failed to wake up during sleep-check in between turn.

DUGTRIO [80 HP] (Stage 1 Fighting Pokemon / Evolves from Diglett)
[FCC] Underground Success (50)
The Defending Pokemon can't attack Dugtrio during your opponent's next
<<<<<<
Not cannot attack but cannot retreat.
The same error occured in PIDGEY and PIDGEOTTO's translation.

JIGGLYPUFF [50 HP] (Basic Colorless Pokemon)
[C] Song And Dance
If your opponent has any Benched Pokemon, he or she chooses 1 of them and
switches is with the Defending Pokemon. The new Defending Pokemon is now
Asleep.
<<<<<<
You choose which pkmn go out.

WIGGLYTUFF [80 HP] (Stage 1 Colorless Pokemon / Evolves from Jigglypuff)
[POWER] Song Heal
Once during your turn (before you attack), if Wigglytuff is on your
Bench, you may choose 1 of your Active Pokemon and it is no longer
affected by a Special Condition.
<<<<<<
It should be: once during your turn, choose 1 special condition on 1 of your active pkmn and heal that.

POKEMON REVERSAL (TRAINER)
Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent chooses one of his or her Benched Pokemon
and switches it with his or her Active Pokemon.
<<<<<<
This card translated wrongly in EX-RS, too.
This card is really a GOW that need a filp.

Oh yeah.
Is the time to sleep.
Good Night all.
Hope helps :D

Right now, I'm not all that concerned with the Trainers in the set. I'm much more concerned with the completely broken Pokemon that are coming out for all formats. Read over some of your spoilers, many of the evolutions (and some of their Basic forms) are possibly more broken than Sneasel, Slowking, or Cleffa (well, maybe not Cleffa...). The power that some of these cards have is getting out of whack, and PUI and NIntendo need to limit the overall power of the cards as much as possible, or another Dark Age will begin, one of the OHKO, instead of your supposed "Trainermon" (which still exists today, BTW)

I don't agree with any of these Pokemon being broken. Some of the new Pokemon are very good, but not broken to the extent that they distort the game. Raticate could be considered broken in Unlimited, but I am not concerned in Modified where there are fewer trainers worth wasting the attack on (Linoone has not exactly taken the tournament scene by storm).

We do have a slight problem that the game is a little one-hit-KO based at the time, but I don't think any of the present Modified Pokemon are broken. The problem we have with the Blaziken decks is not that the individual Pokemon are broken, it is that a particular combination of cards have become too powerful (i.e. Blaziken Firestarter is so good only because it can be combined with Pokemon that does unlimited damage through fire energy discards).

The only Pokemon in this set that worries me a little is Blastoise EX, particularly the possible combination with Archie and Walrein. I am surprised that the most powerful of the 3 big Pokemon is the one they gave only one weakness.

The Rapidash is good, but far from broken. I hope that more work will be done to move towards status effects rather than one-hit-KO.

Dugtrio was corrected by vincent and Raticate doesn't bother me. Look at it like Genesis Cleffa, it is of almost equal use to all decks and you just have to evaluate whether the space needed is worth it. It may even encourage more people to play fighting!

I don't think we need more powerful trainers, particularly not GOW. Limiting this kind of functionality to Pokemon that have other tradeoffs (Salamance, Victreebel) allows for a more varied selection of strategy. I don't want to go back to the state where Pokemon was used to just do damage and we used trainers for everything else.

I knew dugtrio's attack prevents a pokemon from retreating not attacking. Nick15 made the same mistake when sceptile ex came out in japan ;)

I am surprised that the most powerful of the 3 big Pokemon is the one they gave only one weakness.

I can't agree more. Look at the weaker kingdra ex that isn't supposed to have grass and lightning weaknesses. How can blastoise ex only have one lightning weakness when it's supposed to be weak against grass? So unrealistic, although pokemon is not real...
