Would a deck built around him be competitive or has this type of deck died off?

what other pokes is he good with?

any other facts or opinions would be appreciated.

Reall he has died out,but u can play R-Gon or Royality

R-Gon:

4-2-3-2 Flygon d/Flygon Ex
2-2 Eggs d
1 Rayquaza Ex
1 Mew *
1-1 Fearow
4 Holon Castform

Royality:

4-2-3-2 Flygon d Ex/Flydon d
2-1-2 Nidoqueen d
1 Rayquaza Ex d
2 Absol Ex
4 Holon Castform

4 tranpichs
2 vibravas
3 flygon hp delta species
2 flygon d ex delta species

exs dont have the same name as the the other one so u can have 4 flygon d ex and 4 flygon d hp in ure deck, but it wouldbe be smart too.

Flygon Ex D is far from dead. Wood811 went unfeated in swiss at Niles CC. He lost to Chuck top 4 because Chuck had 2 scrambles Game 2 and 3 Scrambles Game 3 (in play at the same time, by turn 4).

flygon EX δ isn't dead but, it isnt kicking either. Flygon EX δ is a GREAT tech for any deck that runs FLygon. Solid Attack, sweet body:tongue:

If we had the holon system back, Flygon EX δ would almost be the play in the current format. I a not saying that this deck must have the holon system, but, it made it so much better.

It seems to still be alright here, I ran my last season's deck with a rebuilt engine at Cities and still made T4, although there's not that much competition...

Without the holon engine... holon decks just aren't as fast anymore. Delta decks also have the pesky x2 weakness (over +x weakness in DP). Frankly speaking, DP cards have a MUCH better damage output than anything pre-DP. Cards like Magmortar, Gallade, etc. can all do tons of damage and aren't an ex- making them easier to get out, harder to kill, and only giving up one prize.

Flygon ex d is cool and all, but delta cards have really lost their punch.

You can play it with Castform, Pachi GE, Gardevoir SW, Flygon D. With proper setup you have a chance, Flygon Ex is a hard KO for your opponent, great vs. G&G (especially when they already have all their prizes face-up).

we practiced a lot with the Flygon build. He still felt uneasy because the deck has a lot of 50-50. The only 50-50 it doesn't have is against Blissey which makes very little sense because the Blissey is weak to the pre-evolutions. It's still about 40-60 vs. Blissey, near auto-loss to Empoleon but no only plays that around here.

Trapinch is bad and Vibrava isn't great so unless youy can power it quick (not likely) you ultimately lose to faster decks. 1 counter a turn from sand damage isn't scary anymore, it probably won't get you any KOs.

My son still plays his R-Gon deck and won many CCs and BRs with it. I am trying to get him to play something different at States but he still believes in his Flygons. We are trying to think of any possible updates to put in from GE either trainers or support. Maybe Unown G???

But it does get you ko's. Stacking 10-20 damage a turn from turn two on is pretty good, along with 80 to the active starting turn 3 to turn 4....btw I beat 3 mag varients and 3 gg w/ it in swiss. The deck is better than most think.

Thats the best one to play and here is why:

1. It has most of all its techs for a certain matchup(Mew *-Ray Ex-Eggs)and a techable Gardy Ex
2.More Playability since royality dosent have jotleon ex and the other flygon just dosent need to be played.
3.Great Trainers makes this quick for setup.

Yea no holon engine, but u dont need it that bad only thing that hurts is no farmer and no researcher. Transceiver was nice, but with the fishing engine, gettin pokes arent that hard and drawing is so simple now also since u will at least get 2 turns off castform at most.

HE (Wood811) played straight Flygon Ex D. No candy, no Flygon D, only other thing he had on the list was Lati-Lock.
