Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Ft Wayne, IN Regionals November 12 & 13

I'm looking forward to going this weekend! If we get permission, we'll also record some games for The Top Cut. See you guys in a few days!

2 questions 1 are there going to be any side events during lunch on Saturday and 2 how late will top 16 most likely run to on sunday
Posted with Mobile style...

1. no staff has to eat at some point during the day...

2. no clue, depends on how fast the players play, if they all go to time and then are tied on prizes it could take a long time...

Sorry I am way behind on email, everytime I answer 1 I get 5 more. As long as the players both agree and it doesn't interfer in the matches I am perfectly fine with it. As long as you don't need internet access to upload them, as I don't believe there is any in the hall...

@Anyone staying at the Hyatt looking for testing tonight, I'll probably be down there around 8:30 PM tonight. (I'll have have a variety of decks; I don't know what I'm playing yet...)

We are at the Holiday Inn across the street if anyone wants to playtest drop me a line here. There's a bunch of us lol.

Or, is there a card shop in Ft. Wayne with a league?

They play tonight from 6-9 according to the pokemon website.

Evil Psyduck is correct, there is no Pokemon at the Coliseum tonight.

For those of you playing in the Video Game, you will want to make sure your DS is fully charged as there will be very few places in the venue to charge your DS.

You will also want to save yourself the headache of setup by following these instructions on how to set up your DS for play on Sunday

FYI the Holiday Inn is across from the venue, but you have a very busy 4 lane (might be 6 at that point) highway between you and the venue. Parking at Venue is $4 but the Holiday Inn has complimentary shuttle to venue if you set up ahead of time. Hilton is on the other side of town from both the hotels we had rooms set up at. Hyatt Place is about 2 miles away but is a lot nicer hotel.

After all the calls today I expect both newspaper and TV stations at the venue for the event on sunday...

This is it, tomorrow is the big day. Can't wait to have fun! I also hope we'll get a lot of masters so that play points can also kick in for some of the people that won't make top cut.

Well deck lists printed, staff mostly in town, see everyone tomorrow!!

Masters 221 Seniors 75 Juniors 50

Report coming from me tomorrow, but I went 6-1 in Swiss and got donked two games in a row to lose in Top 16...(Played Gothitelle)
Pulled nothing in the packs...My family got better pulls from the side event packs.
I didn't pay that much attention, but I know Pooka was 7-1 going into Top 32. Other masters; I don't really know...
Overall, a great and fun tournament; thanks for putting it on Derick!!

P.S. Good luck finishing Seniors before midnight... (When I left at 8:35 they were seating Top 8)

Update:

Bertolli (Mike McElwain) got 2nd to Carl Scheu who was playing Reshiphlosion with Kingdra. I'm glad somebody that is a good guy snagged second place - especially after starting the day 0-2. Bertolli played Donphan Tornadus. Pooka either lost in T8 or T4.

Pooka lost in T8 I believe. Me and my brother seriously wishing we played VGC. Attendance-
Juniors-6 (No, that is not a typo, we had SIX Juniors...)
Seniors-24
Masters-No more than 50, the rosters only had 2 pages but I never actually counted.
So, 4 of the Juniors of the 6 Juniors get travel awards to Nats, all of them are well ahead on Championship Points, all for showing up? (Grrr....We were in the building to...)

Oh well, again, it was a great event!
