Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Gallade Combo

who gave you that silly idea  You're right in that Gallade needs setup, but 1 turn behind in setup is not that hard to recover against Blissey.

Yes, please by all means tell me how you recover from a T2 loss?

Blissey goes first, and attaches, pass.
-Gallade, has it's lonely Ralts out there, and attaches, plays it's supporter (Either you're lucky because you just got a basic, or you played your mentor). If you don't get another basic this turn you lose. But you also really need to set up your Gallade to KO Bliss next turn.
Blissey evolves, attaches Boost, and wins.

K, now lets say you did draw that other Basic, or you mentored out the other three.
You already lost your first energy, so you have two options. You spent your supporter last turn getting basics rather than Gallades (and please don't say quickball, because there are Kirlias and Ralts in your deck). So unless you already have the Gallade (which is very possible) then you need to rare candy and Scramble.
Or if you mentor'd and have the chance to sacrifice something, you'll be somewhat better off. You can sacrifice something. But then again this is all leaving to much up to chance, giving you ~ a 50/50 shot this turn of winning or lossing, and the turn before this, it was ~60/40 on you lossing.

So, if you want to win the tournament, you can't leave this much up in the air.
I'd say your chances of surviving would have to be 90% or greater. And acheiving that with Gallade is simple.

I'll try to answer this without giving too much away.

First of all, Ralts is not an ideal starter. In my build, with 9 basics, you have less than 50% chance of starting with Ralts. The ideal starter has 60 HP. That alone increases the chance of surviving T2. Blissey would need to either have a boost or have a PP/charm plus discarding an energy, plus not missing an energy drop for both turns. Sure, it's possible in a good blissey build, but the percentage goes down from there. Secondly, with 9 starters and 8 search supporters (celios, roseannes, mentors), you can sacrifice and build up the first Gallade on the bench. Once the first Gallade is build (either with DRE or Scramble), Blissey will be in a world of hurt.

The starter I'm using acctually needs all of the above mentioned things to be KO'd.
Boost, energy, energy in discard, PP, and Strength Charm.

i dont think its sableye,
they need to do 80 dmg to it to ohko it.
Mew's scenario=90 dmg
im thinking its furret or something

All legal Sableyes have 60 HP. All three of the pre-SW ones have Resistance :colorless -30.

Sableye CG is a super staller and gets a nice damage boost vs dark weak pokemon like Banette ... one of the few threats to Gallade.

Sableye PK is a reasonable starter & can snipe giving it some synergy with Gallade's first attack.

Sableye SW is a potentially good starter, but like you said it would only take 80 HP to KO due to only having Resistance :colorless -20.

Sableye HP isn't worth talking about.

You fail. It's Sableye HP...
No seriously.

But in reality, Furret is the best starter there is. And that's why I'm using it.

I think Gallade works alone with something to setup, the line already has many options. If Mario or Blissey/Lucario is big in your area maybe Lugia SW can give you some time to setup.

Gallade can easily be partnered with Gardy, first use gallades Sonic Blade to bring someone strong out then use Gardevoir LV X's Bring Down next turn. What do you guys think of adding holon WP into the deck? It gives you free retreat and you can effectivly use your combos that way.

Ugh if only if Omastar DP4 was released now =(

You are crazy if you don't run Holon WP in it for the free retreat. I origonaly ran 3 in my deck, but now I have only two and that seems fine.

Nidoqueen does work with Gallade and I using mine with a castform start. It works and setups in no time, Blissey isnt even a hard matchup even with possible T2 donkage.
