agreed. people need to accept the fact that Gino is a good player, and stop trying to put all his wins up to cheating.
First off, no one called him a cheater.
I think you're all going to get the academy award for overacting about this.
However, if any of you sat down across from a world's calibre player and after set up they casually looked at some of their prizes, none of you would call over a judge?

Your right, nobody explicitly called him a cheater (in this thread). Maybe this was a poor choice of words on my part. What I mean to say is, too often in a Gino thread, people pick out little things he says in his reports and blow them out of proportion.

Who even cares? He won and that's all that matters. A judge was watching the game, so he couldn't have cheated anyways.

Its not about what he said its about what he did. Its kinda funny that he didnt include his actions regarding this in his report considering it was such a huge part in his winning.

I still hate you Gino but I will get that rematch I deserve in Tourney someday. Just make sure to NOT look at your prizes (please)...lol. Congrtas for winning ME states..If Jon couldnt win it...Im glad you won it. Your Deck is awesome...I came in 9th in Maine missing top cut which stinks. but its the best i have done so far. Congrats Gino see ya at league!!
P.S Whats with all these people say you cheat??? You never cheated in Round 1 against Josh Hoppenbrouwer inRI states...You just looked at your prized cards...theres nothing wrong with that...lol

Don't fuel the fire, like PokePop said we don't know what happened. Two point I will make 1st if Gino was going to cheat and look at his prizes he wouldn't come on here and talk about it. Second he won Nats and got 3rd at Worlds both time in top cut every match a judge was watching his game. I'm not trying to defend the guy but if your going to accuse him of cheating at least have some proof.

good job. anyone who accuses gino of cheating has to find evidence or maybe even a REASON to accuse him, other than hes a good player

I was at Johnston for the RI State Championship. There was a judge at the table who observed this entire situation. That judge made a ruling on this. All of us need to learn to respect that ruling. It is sad to see people who weren't at the event second guess and disrespect the decision of that unbiased observer. Many times when judges make rulings we end up with 1 happy player and 1 unhappy player.
Players should also look at this situation and realize that many are pre judging Gino's actions. When you do this your are not being fair to Gino. Many players on these threads point fingers at judges and claim that the judges are biased against them. God knows I have heard that enough over the years especially on these forums. We really try to run these tournaments in a FAIR manner. We call them as we see them nothing more nothing less. It really doesn't matter who the players are that are involved in these situations. Every player needs to be treated fairly.

Its true I respect the ruling you guys did. It was a prize lost and gino did it without knowing because he was excited maybe. Cause i was looking at him the whole time and its one of those things you didnt know intill it happen. I joke around with gino. I was unhappy because the ruling was reshuflle your deck and setup again. Which is kinda not fair...If he had a bad hand and he gets a great hand...or if you look at the other way he could have a good hand and get a bad hand. I just wondering why he couldnt just put the 2 he looked at and just put them on the bottom of the deck and put 2 new ones out....just wondering. I respect Gino as a player and a freind.

If you want to understand what happend with the prizes listen to what weedler 33 said as he was my actual opponent and FRIEND of round 1. In my report I was very clear about how I didnt want to talk about the penalty because it was an accident but people asked anyway.

As for me cheating to win? Im the champ I dont need to cheat. Quit tryin 2 stir something up. The reason I havent answered the question of what happend to my prizes is because yall are trying to stir up an accident and make me look like a cheater. If you really want to know what happend PM me or PM Weedler 33 or PM BJJ763 who was the judge of the event. Theres no reason to stir up a situation that could be private and better for both partys.

You can say a lot about Gino, but he is one of the BEST pokemon players out there. We have seen him take out almost everyone on the circuit one time or another. Yes Gino can be a pain sometimes with his comments. But I have grown to be great friends with Gino and he is a amazing player. Nationals or Worlds. Need I say more.
So lets all give Gino a break. He has been really good with his post and comments. Let him enjoy his winnings....:thumb:Mommarock
