Gym Leader Challenge!- Season 1 Complete

cause i could not do any thing about that. you 2 had flying and the same thing with the second battle and the 3rd but all except you used starapter and lugia the 3rd battle, and salamence and lugia the 2nd and 1st battles

lugia was aloowed in my clause. i'm doing vgc
 
lugia is not allowed and pokemon rocks having 2 pokes that are flying isnt countering...
 
KK- "theme countering" is if an opponant has pokies in a ratio "in favor" as too how the battles are set up by the GL.
One flying in a 4 vs 4 pokie battle against a "ground" theme is acceptable. Two will not be acceptable.
If you allow the use of certain Pokies that are against the standered ground rules, that option is there- as the set standered rules apply if a GL wants to use a "simple" format to host their theme by.
In order of rules and restrictions, a GL should adbide by the standered basic rules if they choose not to have side rules.
In the case of countering and the pokies allowed- this is what I say: The GL has not chosen to follow the basic standered rules, thus Pokies allowed and not allowed are in their personal side rules. The use of "banned" pokies in a battle by a challenger against a GL according to the side rules is what will cause an auto loss to the challenger. The challenger is then in the "cool down" period at that time. The Challenger can battle other GL's who are available in that time frame.
Since this is an event that leaves room for VGC practice, and you GL's have the right to modify your Gym as you see fit without changing your main theme. Side rules you GL's create are also changeable, as it will keep your Gym "fresh" and non-predictable ( pokie choice or a change in your claus ).
"Theme countering" is based on the ratio of challenger pokies. In the case of Salamance and Lugia being used against a ground gym theme in a 4 vs 4 double battle, the flying type ratio breaches that ratio in favor of the challenger. Since in the rematch, Starapture and Lugia were used, thus again in "theme countering status".
I will rule in Favor of the GL at this time, based on the information I have recieved.
@cheeseEx- You can challenge other GL's in the meantime and rematch after two days, please understand what "theme countering" is, if you are not sure the ratio of Pokies in your team should be, ask the GL you are challenging what the ratio is. I am sure the other Gl's will be glad to battle you, and ggod luck and have fun.

hey benzo could we make the GL's theme 3 mono 3 wild cards? ice only has 16 fully evolved pokemon and most of them are useless (IE Jynx) and in order to keep things "fresh" im having trouble coming up with another team. I have an idea for a Gravity team but its impossible to do with 4 of the pokes needing to be ice when only 1 ice type learns gravity
 
^ I am sure that you can figure out a stratagy and pokies to place on your roster to cover your bases. It would be good to go through your clauses and what-not to make adjustments to your theme. To be in charge of a gym, you got to be able to assemble a team and set bounderies that are fare to both you and the challenger. Having a good ratio and move sets are important in making full use of your pokies to cover as much "weak spots" in your theme and the limits of pokies available for use. If you need further assistance, pm me with what you have, I can assist in getting something worked out that will keep you going. And, it is not impossable- it is in the pokie choices and how you plan to stratagize.
 
I think youre misunderstanding what im saying, my CURRENT team is great, it has 4 ice types and the 2 wild cards cover my weaknesses, however I want more then 1 team in order to keep things new and so challengers arent able to win only because theyve seen my team before
