Raaaaawr. >:3

I can't believe Dark and Ice aren't on there though. SERIOUSLY? Those are like... two of the best types in the game.

Can I make a secondary choice? If so, uh, let's go with Dragon.

Which do you want to go with, Dragon or Electric?

...
Dragon.
(like a boss.)

Sorry. I've been tired and very busy with school these days, so I guess I have not paid quite as much attention to exacting details as I should have.

i would like to apply to be the rock gym leader as i have experience as a rock leader before on another sight and I have experience in sandstorms :) . how will we know who the most qualified person is when we vote, will you like battle everyone and test them?

Official application.

Pretend the Dark one didn't exist (as awesome as it was).

I would be qualified as a Gym Leader at all because I have experience with competitive battling and know the system and the game very well. I would be qualified as the Dragon Gym Leader because I know Dragon Pokemon (and their weaknesses!) and have experimented with them multiple times before.

...Yes.
*nod.*

Well since I have no life...

I would like to apply to be the Water gym leader. I love water Pokemon and Starmie is one of my favorite Pokemon of all time...although Milotic has to come in a close second. I have experience with competitive battling and have been playing the games since the R/B/Y era.

Ok, I meet all the requirements, I apply for the electric gym. And I think that by being in T4 in your tourny by going 5-0 in my matches so far signifies something about my battling skill.=P

I'll say. But for right now, we are seeing who can be GLs. If you are picked, then you can pick your gym.

So what direction is thread going in now? Who is judging requirements, and how?

As of now, to prevent any confusion and from everyone from wanting to be one, we're just going to do this. To see who has what it takes to be a GL.

There is really no way of judging anything but we hope people can be really truthful with this. This thread is just to get people who are interested in becoming one. We'll determine who becomes GL's after this step is done.

Everyone who posted here are still able to join, but now its not a pick your gym and vote, for now anyway. If you have any ideas, please speak up. I'm not the only one doing this. I'm just taking the first step.

I would like to apply. I'm always dedicated to everything I start, so you can count on me for
keeping to it. I've had 3 years competitive battling. I have about 10 hours per week on the CPU
on average. I can accept all challenges, too.

The problem is that I don't have Wi-Fi fixed up yet. It's activated, but it has a password lock I can't
unlock. But my friend has a Wi-Fi unit I can battle over. Is that ok? -David

I like the new list of Gym requirements. It gives exact expectations of a gym leader. What i like most is the Addition of 6 battles a week OR 10 hours of availability per week.

If the gym leaders can keep these requirements, i would love to find some compensation for the dedicated gym leaders.

Is a year a bit long to keep GL's in? I mean obviously once this is going, we can wing it and see what an appropriate time frame is as the event rolls on. Also, I hope my idea that I keep throwing around will still be considered: let the picked GL's pick their gym type, starting with the most qualified GL and going down.

i would like to be ghost-type because i love ghost pokemon and i have been playing since i was 4. i will also accept SCHEDULED challanges. on weekends i can battle whenever, but on weekdays you have to schedudle your match on the weekend.

Its going to be like that. The people who become leaders get to choose the gym type they want to run.

I say keep it at a year for now to keep things smooth. That way, we can get new gym types in. Maybe, 1 year is too short but let's keep it at one year for now. Plus if we get this going, it will make it a lot easier for Ultimatedra to reward the GL's.

Is there anything you can do to reset your router? If you are using a Linksys router, it should have saved a notepad somewhere with the password.

When you say "competitive battling experience", as per the second requirement, what do you mean?

Well, I guess I'll reapply with this post.

I am available quite frequently for challenges. Wednesdays are sketchy, but Im pretty free other days of the week. Im fine doing this for a year, I'm rather obsessive with my hobbies. I do have my own router (even figured out how to config it myself :) ; stupid thing was a pain). As for battle experience: I have been playing the game itself since R/B. Haven't done a lot of competitive play recently, but I have been IV/EV training teams rather intensively in my spare time, and have read wayyyyy too much about theory. So, there I go.
