Welcome man. You can only upload your own avatar on "custom avatar day." They come rarely, the last one was like a couple weeks ago... but they say another one will be coming this Fall which is really lucky for you. Here is the FAQ page so that you can learn all the details about the rules for the avatar (like size and content). In the mean time, you can just use a pre made avatar that is available in the User CP.

Yo. New to the game. Just learned how to play like (counts) 8 hours ago. the card shop owner taught me. I got bored with ygo and mtg atm since I am undefeated at locals in both.

Looking forward to taking names with Mudkipz ftw!!!

sry though. I have no idea what the top deck is atm I really don't care. The less I know about the metagame the better. It allows me to use any and every card I see and test them myself. I have aready asked my teamates (I am borrowing water//psychic from them atm) to allow me to build decks in my own design. I have until the end of the month to face my captain and determine if I can stay on the team.

I don't believe anyone actually responds to this anymore : \ which is a shame. I'm brand spankin' new to the pokemon trading card game (used to collect the base sets, but never really played). I bought the DP starter and majestic dawn forest force deck at target, but what and where should I buy cards in the future? Any tips on how to get involved in the game?

I'm fairly new to the TCG, but my family attended the Worlds in Orlando this weekend. What a awesome experience that was. My daughter won a trip to attend from the video game competition so the entire family went down and we picked up the card game as well. We met so many helpful people, what a great community. Can't wait to learn more about the cards and compete for real next year!

I'm a woman mid my 20's, and generally am interested in graphic design and popular culture (such as comics, animation etc).
I've been playing the TCG since early 2001. In addition I play other card games, role playing games, board games, strategy games, figure games and video games.
My most dearest, and nowadays most time consuming, hobby is crafts. I'm especially interested in modifying toys. ;3

And ofcourse I'm new in the forums.

I might be a bit older than most, but I do enjoy the pokemon tcg. It started some years ago when my 8 year old son was into pokemon and wanted to play the game. Only problem was he didn't know how to play. So my wife and I read and practiced until we learned it and then taught him. He went on to play for a couple of years, hitting the local organized play circuits and fairing well. Then we were called to move out of the states for several years (military) and then it seemed Pokemon TCG was not as hot as it once was. So after ignoring it for a few more years, it seems that it is catching on again. Anyway, don't mean to ramble... I just really missed the way the game was back in 1999-2001. I enjoyed going to those play sessions and watching him compete. Now he's 16 and wants nothing to do with them. A couple of days ago I was hit with a sense of nostalgia and had been combing the internet to see the current standing of the game. Okay, anyway... hello to you all and hope you are all still enjoying the game.
