Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Hello Everybody!

Hello everyone im 22 years old played tcg and the vg many years. I recently got interested in this forum and im visiting it for months. just now got myself free time to register.

I guess after asking stupid questions already I should introduce myself. My name is Brendan. I am a 38 year old father of 2. A wonderful 6 year old and a great 9 year old. I am here because of them. They are playing the game and since they play each other at home I need to know how to play. I also need to learn because my ex wife won't play the game with them or take them to tournaments only I will. So I am here to learn for them and me so we can do some fun things together.

Hey guys, I'm the gym leader for the Pokemon league at Docking Bay 93 in Mount Vernon, WA. Sorry I haven't been there lately, I've been super busy. Nobody really shows up there anymore so I stopped reporting and the league was made inactive. There are still a ton of promos to be given out. I ordered a new league kit, which will have badges and online codes.

Anyway, I haven't played since Platinum Supreme Victors so I still have my old deck. Hopefully I can get into the Pokemon TCG again.

Also, I did something really stupid in 2007. I saw that most of the black star promos were worthless, so I threw them away. I wish I held onto them.

Well, I'm new, so I thought I would post here. I'm 15 and I've been playing Pokemon and variety of other TCGs for 10+ years. I stopped playing Pokemon four years ago, but decided to give it a go again. I thought Darkrai rush would be a good deck to get started with, so today I took advantage of Troll&Toad's sale and bought some important singles and a case of the Darkrai/Mewtwo/Rayquaza Tins, which I thought would be a good way to get my collection going again, with three good EX's. I haven't visited a League just yet, but I live in the Tampa area, so if anyone else does I look forward to meeting you at League :D

'Ello!

The name is Kooper. I have been a full-fledged Pokémon fan since getting a Game Boy Color for Blue version back in the heyday. I started playing around the time of Fossil's release, playing from the beginning with a Blackout theme deck as my first. (Never cared much for collecting.) I didn't get to do anything in the Wizards era outside League, and once Nintendo took over, I mostly played in the west/middle Tennessee area since northwest Alabama had pretty much dried up.
With no one to play during college, I skipped most of the late 3rd Gen era, only getting a pack or tin here and there up until Next Destinies. Thanks to TCGO and wrapping up college, I am pleased to be back, more involved than ever!

I also run a humble little YouTube channel, where I do TCG and other Pokémon stuff, amongst other things that strike my fancy.

-Kooper, who does this little pre-sig thing all the time...no reason to stop now, I guess.

Hello! I am the newest new guy that is new on this new day at this new time and new moment. I knew it could only be me, I feel special, like I am riding a brand new gnu that I once knew. NEW! <3

Hello everybody! Just got back into Pokemon after about 12 years. ALOT seems to have changed. I'm happy to have found this site and look forward to the times to come.:thumb:

Hey There Everyone!

I'm Chris (or just Naffa), I'm 24 and from South Australia, used to collect and play a lot when I was younger and living in the UK. Going through secondary school didn't have much to do with Pokemon, and have just recently started collecting again... Already well on my way with the first 4 sets down as well as most of boundaries crossed. Have just ordered half a case of boxes for Plasma Storm and would really like to get into being able to trade dupes etc! So if there's anyone around in Australia looking for a trade buddy give me a PM!

Hi everyone. I've never played a game of Pokemon in my life, but my boyfriend won't shut up about it. Basically I only signed up to try that Wolf game....So yeah, don't lynch me, mmmk?

Hi, welcome to the gym! I'm sure your boyfriend is the most awesome guy ever if you decided to come here with never playing pokemon!

Hi PokéGym!

I'm.. 26, almost 27 (and in heavy denial about it, haha), female and live in Belgium. Yea, that tiny little bit of France and the Netherlands that calls itself a country :p

I was more or less into Pokémon TCG as a young teenager (I guess I was about 13 or 14 when the Pokémon hype hit Europe) back in the late '90s. I still have most of my cards from back then, though they are mainly in Dutch. I'm really happy I did keep them in a binder so they're all in near-mint condition!

They're still in that binder, but I've put them all in individual sleeves as well. Can't be too careful ;)
No, seriously, I'm superfreaky when it comes to those cards. Whenever I see someone on Youtube open up booster packs and they just leave them out on their table without sleeves, my fingers itch to put them in protective plastic, hahaha!

I pulled a shiny Random Receiver the other day. It's in a flexible sleeve, which I put in a sturdy sleeve, which I put in the binder. I'm really OCD when it comes to this. I want my cards to be as protected as they possibly can be, I think I'd cry if one of my cards got scratched.. I have one Base Set fighting energy card that's pretty badly scratched and kinda dirty and the borders are roughed up.. and I hate myself for letting that happen to my poor card. It didn't deserve that..

..yea my cards have feelings, don't ask, lol XD

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan and I am turning 27 this year. I live in the United States but I am currently serving overseas on my first deployment to Afghanistan for the U.S. Army! I've used to play the card game back in the day but I stopped playing for a while. I got back into the whole series when Black and White came out and I hope I can play in some tournaments when I get back home! I miss Arizona a lot, I only got a few months left here so time is going by quickly! I've ordered 4 boxes of cards since my arrival here and got lots of cool stuff I can't wait to try out! My favorite Pokemon is Snivy too!

Well hello there!

My name's Kevin, and I'm 29 going on 12. I live in Washington (state) with my wife Melissa and our son Sawyer. My brother in law (Patrick, who's 10) has been really wanting to get into Pokemon more, but he's at that awkward stage where he's better than most of the kids at his school but can't go to tournaments regularly. Thus, my wife and I agreed to start playing after 10 years of retirement. Some starter decks, a few tins, and many an eBay stalking later, I'm worried we might be more into it than him!

I was referred here by our local Gym leader as a great place to look up other players for trades, or bounce deck ideas while I get myself back into the game. I'll be heading to worlds later this year (sadly, not for the LCQ as I missed too many tournaments to get the needed Play! points) with the little bro'in'law, so maybe I'll bump into a few of you there!
