Right. As printed, I presume that a LEGEND would get around the effect of Skarmory FB's Silver Feather or Azelf MT's Downer Material, since those specifically target Basic Pokemon, but is still KOed by Machamp, since that's targeting unevolved Pokemon.
 
Yes, what waynegg said. Machamp's attack says 'isn't an evolved pokemon' and the faq in the OP says a legend is 'neither Basic Pokémon nor Evolved Pokémon'
 
I have to agree with the majority here. By all logic, Lugia LEGEND and Ho-Oh LEGEND would be affected by the body of Mewtwo and Machamp's Take-Out attack, as they are not evolved Pokemon. Regardless of errata, there is nothing to indicate otherwise.

On topic, the artwork of Ho-Oh! Legend is amazing, but its attack is just not worth it in today's metagame. Kind of makes me sad that I'll be leaving the game when we final return to Johto.
 
Is it limited to 4 per card or 2 pairs or just 1 pair allowed in a deck? And does it count towards the 4 ho-oh you can normally have in your deck?

It'll be limited to 4 Ho-oh Legend cards in your deck total, so 2 of each half

I suspect that the legend cards will function like the EX cards in the way that "Ho-oh Legend" is different than "Ho-oh", just like "Ho-oh EX" was different than "Ho-oh"

Looks pretty awesome, I hate how they take any all the neat glittery effects that the *** Legend and even Lv X cards have. Cards look amazing but kinda plain and dull to me.. >_>

It will be interesting how these ruling come about. Will wait for the Rules Team to get an official ruling rather than speculate. Beach has attempted to release FAQ before that ended up being just slightly off.

Will both pieces going onto the bench take up 2 spaces or 1.....will Champ and Mewtwo still get the effects?? Will Nationals be released before it happens? These questions and more will be discovered!!

k Here is how it works any card that will let you search for a Pokemon (in other words any card that doesn't limit based on basic or evolution and isn't limited to only Lv. X's) will allow you to search for one card of a LEGEND pair. Based on this the following will allow you to search for one piece of a LEGEND pair : Poke ball, Luxury ball, Bebe's search, Pokemon rescue, Night maintenance, Palmer's contribution, Dusk ball, Quick ball, Time-Space Distortion (one piece for each heads), Poke Radar (Depends on how many pieces are present), AND ANY ATTACK OR POKE POWER OR POKE BODY THAT HAS THE SAME WORDING AS ANY OF THESE CARDS.

It would also make sense that the LEGEND cards are still hit by Snowpoint Temple, Machamp and Mewtwo Lv. X's effects Because they only say non evolved Pokemon. And how they would not be affected by cards that specifically affect basics or evolutions because LEGENDS are neither Basic Nor Evolutions They Are LEGENDS

That has to be the best card artwork I've seen in a LONG time.
Heck, the whole card layout is just different, and I love that.
 
Man the artwork is amazing!

Ho-oh Legend is really a reprint of the base set Charizard. Its certainly not bad, putting two DCE's on it and it can be deadly. You can even combo it with Typhlosion Prime so Ho-oh does 100 every turn. Yet, I really like Lugia Legend more because you can do 200 damage!:eek:

Yeah, they also revealed Lugia Legend. Check Pokebeach. It is on the front page at this very moment.

Still, I'm glad that the Legend cards in this set have been revealed Internationally. Which cards will they reveal next?

Its pokebody is nice, and of the better ones in the game. But no one is going to have to go through the trouble of setting up a legend just for a 4 for 100 attack.

The game will slow down, so maybe 4 for 100 will work someday, but that day isnt today.
 
These cards are pretty cool looking, but I wonder if it will be impossible to collect the two pieces. In Japan, both pieces come in the same pack- so it would be nice if we got that ratio too.

Woah, no way! I didn't know they both came in the same pack... that's awesome. It'd better be that way or these things will be ridiculous to get a playset of.
 
That is one awesome card. If it really can be taken out by Mewtwo and Machamp then this card is useless and it makes me wonder why they'd make such a slow and useless card if it can't deal with either one.
