tell us more about your difficulties so we can help you cope with them and get around them in school?
But yea, find a friend and you should be good.

well pretty much you make a lot of friends which you hang out with most of them time with, you try to pay attention in class but you cant cause all you can pay attention is the hot girl sitting next to you, lol, after that you just go to different classes turn in your homework which is a pain unless you know all the material and lunch is always good since you get a break from sitting down from 45 min of class and get to enjoy yourself. nothing really to be afraid just be yourself and learn i guess

i hope this helps

It's not about making or chossing friends you will see your true friends trust me the ones who respect what ypu do and say it's whatever and they got your back on it and try to help you out with it, then also don't try to get cool with everyone just do what you do don't act fake and nobody wont have beef with you and if they do you got alot of friends that got your back in the end of it so you don't ave to worry about it.

well, you want my advice?
Chat it up wit all the honeys. I love being single at High School cause there are always some honeys that you can talk to, and get their numbers and whatnot.
Go to parties too, it helps you socialize and have fun. BUT don't become a party animal or do drugs.
Don't focus all your time towards school either. Do yo thang on the weekends and have fun. Don't worry about school 24/7.
So I dunno what your disability is, so I don't know how much this advice will help.
Oh and it is fun being a flirt, just thought I might let ya know. So don't be afraid to be social and flirtatious w/ people.

People who always try to join in the cool crowd, are usually the least cool people. So don't try it. (I know, because most people try to be 'cool' by hanging out with people that play on teams such as me, or that.) Most people that are 'cool' will come to you first and talk to you. That is, if you are in a school like mine, where I, and fellow team mates/classmates welcome anyone in, and are not stuck up. Just go, and have fun. Don't try to focus completely on school, and don't be nervous. Make friends and respect others.

Yea, a speech of encouragement, good luck

its a fun experience. The school work is hard no matter what, but make sure u shower and brush ur teeth every day. Thats going to be a big plus to making friends. And dont be afraid to talk to people. Me, i am a social butterfly so I am always talking to people. Oh and dont mess with upperclassmen. They can be annoying. Even though I am going to be one next year. They dont like freshmen. There is always hw. wich i thought was annoying. Dont stress. Try to pay attention and sleep in class when there is nothing going on that day. And most teachers are here to help u so dont be afraid to ask them for help. And i think that having a social life is very imp. in high school. So like I said, dont be afraid to talk to people. Ohh and dont trust alot of people, they can be backstabbers. Make sure u have a friend or two who u can tell anything to. U have to feel a connection. I mean this yr. my best friend walked up to me and said, " I feel we have a connection," and after that we were best friends.

Oh thats great advice....

The one major thing I haven't seen anyone say, but that I cannot stress enough, is that high school is only a temporary thing. You won't see 99% of those people again for the rest of your life after you're done with it. Thus, don't fret if you don't fit in with the "in crowd" or whatever you kids call it these days.

Since you haven't elaborated on the nature of your special ed, I may be completely wrong with this next bit, but I'll say it anyway because it's like this for most people: Enjoy the easy grades while they last.

Worry about your grades foremost.

You will gain respect and friends with your good grades.

haha. worst advice ever.

high school is basically a microcosm of the real world but with more superficial attitudes. basically, if you want to survive high school, find a clique and stay with it. if you dont really care about friends then just worry about grades and such.

but yea, if you find a group of people that you can relate to just stick with them and the rest will work itself out in the end.

Seriously, don't join a clique. Worst idea ever. It'd be better to find a group of people who play the same games as you and join them.

I agree with the stuff Marril said.

im really really excited about this but iim soooo nervous
Well, don't be. If you insist on being nervous, you've already lost. You should either, extract the nervousness and beat it up, or pretend that it doesn't exist (after which, it eventually won't exist)

This change in your life is no big deal (at least you have to act like it). Act like it's just another day.

The thing that seems to give most people trouble with school is trying to fit in with a certain group, and wanting to appear "cool".

One thing I can say for certain is that the "cool" guys really aren't the guys you want to be around. The best guy I met in high school had the highest grades in all his classes, got on with everyone, threw the best parties, was an incredibly talented athlete and spent most of his spare time going out of his way to convince the local education authority to fund these fantastic trips/events... and never once did he even suggest that he was better than anyone else. These are the people you learn the most from, and will have a friend for life in.

My only other tip is try to get on with your teachers. If you're friends with your teacher, you get all sorts of benefits: you enjoy your lessons more because you're treated as an equal, you're first pick for taking part in the better activities, and if your teachers are anything like mine, they'll get you into bars, loan you money for gigs and organize holidays for you and your mates (OK, you really shouldn't expect this; that guy is one in a million  ). These are all things that you'll probably never get the chance to do again, so take advantage of it now.

Like Marril said; it's all temporary so make sure you make the best of it, and don't worry if things aren't always going your way.

Surviving Typical day of highschool is your 5/7 Academics. Which you switch for about 30 minutes-45 minutes to each class. You have about 2-4 minutes between each class to get to your locker and get stuff. The Academic number varies in schools. Basicially you just gotta be fast and consistant.

Homework Usually takes 1-3 Hours or sometimes shorter or even longer.

Socialation & Friends A great way to meet people is threw Electives, Sports, or your other friends that know other friends. At lunch or before classes spark a conversation between you and someone you wanna be friends with.

Thats pretty much how to get threw highschool with homework, surviving, making friends & socilizing, Anything else like partys, dances, or cliques you do on your own or with the friends that you made or are friends with.

I bet your one of those people that is getting/got C's-low B's in regular classes in high school.

If you want to get into the "real" world, you have to have a good resume to get into it.

Actually, his advice isn't bad. Definitely don't worry too much about school, but don't blow it off. Don't join a clique, but hang out w/ a variety of people. Socializing and making friends is the most important thing about school, and learning stuff is KINDA important too I guess, lol.
But seriously party it up while your young and have some fun.
Worrying about school was all I used to do, but now that I have loosened up a little more and going to parties and flirting with da chicks and all that other good stuff, I have been enjoying myself a lot more.

thanks for all the advice
but yes i mean im worried if im going to be "o.k." academically
i do advanced work but really the maximum we get iun school is an hr
they really need to fix that
thanks alot guys the more help the better
