Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Houston, Texas Regionals - TWO DAY event

All out of town League Leaders - If possible, can you have a pop id list of your players @ Regionals? This will help me tremendously, you know we always get players showing up with without #s and it causes time delays.

Thanks.

Chrataxe - I can fix you up but I don't have extra dark & metal. All you have to do is sing a Pokemon song on the microphone at Regionals.

Lol, too funny. I would take you up on that offer, only I don't know any Pokemon songs.

Lol, if its in the style of Karaoke, sure. If not, then I still won't know the words...

I want to be the very best...

Seriously, if you're on this board and don't know this one, go out and find it.

Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all, you know it's my destiny.

Just got word we already players arriving from out of town for Regionals. Several players will be practicing at Space Cadets Collection on Robinson Road starting around 3:00ish. I'm sure it probably go until around 7:00 - 8:00. Everyone is welcome to come out and play.

...this may be a VERY long drive from Odessa if I have to listen to this song the whole ride...

Edit:
So, before I commit to this torture, how much energy are we talking?

I guess seeing as I wont be allowed to buy, sell, or trade regardless of what I say or do, I won't be able to make this event as I am not a player, but a vendor.

I apologize to everyone who was expecting to make some extra cash or get singles for their decks from me at the event, but I follow the rules of the T.O. and respect his decision. I do not play the game, I just keep up with it and the meta through my brother and players up here in Dallas, and don't have the time to take a whole weekend off just to play the game since I also have to take care of other things with yu-gi-oh and pokemon online.

Also - my brother might have enough basic energy if you would like him to bring it Mr. Cook, as he has more product than me and I would have enough energy to cover everyone in the event too. He should still attend to play, so feel free to contact him by phone about that.

I wish this event to go smoothly though, and I hope everyone has a really good time :] Go Dallas and team wolfpack!!!

If you need energy... there will be plenty there.. trust me... send me a PM of the amount of energy and what ones... it can be covered!

How this will work.

1. When walking through the gates, you will pay me a dollar, because I'm so dang beautiful.

2. The first thing you will see is the front desk. This will be for pop id look up, issuing pop ids, loaner decks, bring-a-friend (see rules) sign in, and new player to Regionals check in. You will also turn in entries for the Drawing contest and Create-a-Card Contest, along with picking up a deck list & pen if needed.

Deck checks - we'll have one line and a staff member will direct you to a judge for deck checks. We'll have 9-10 judges deck checking so there shouldn't be a long line.

During deck checks - You'll receive a Regionals promo card and raffle ticket. You will receive a second raffle ticket if you used the deck creator on PokeGym.

Be in line by 10:00am to secure your spot in Round 1.

10:30ish - 10:55 am - Roster checks, seating, introductions, quick announcements, pairings.

11:00ish - Round 1 (30 minutes + 3 turns)

I'm looking to have a Round start every 50 minutes, no more than 60.

1 Hour lunch break after Round 3.

All raffle drawings and contest winners will be done AFTER lunch.

Extra raffle tickets will be given out for Pokemon players wearing Pokemon related shirts. SHIRTS ONLY. You will also get a ticket if you dressed up for Cosplay. These tickets will be given out at a later time.

Raffle tickets will be drawn during game play, players can check the prize central board for the ticket numbers. Prize Central will back by the Pokemon store.

Any Top Cut Rounds above top 8 will be played after a 30 minute break.

Have FUN boys and girls, this day is for YOU.

One more thing - COME TO ME if you have any issues, LET ME HELP YOU, I AM HERE FOR YOU. I want you to have a good time and I want you to be excited about coming back to Houston for another great event.

Alright, you don't really have to give Mike a dollar.

In fact, DO NOT give him a dollar. He will just spend it at Whataburger. Not good!

Seriously, just in case anyone was wondering, it's free to get in. No dollars needed.

Alright all my little PokeTravelers, stay safe out there, no speeding, no road rage, no texting while driving, and always stop at a Bucee's for a bathroom break.

Quick reminder - Wherever you're coming from, once you're on the Beltway 8, just exit Gessner Road.

Coming from the east (I-45), you'll exit Gessner, make the uturn under the Beltway.

Coming from the west (I-59), you'll just exit Gessner and stay on the feeder.

Enter the Race Park through GATE 2 on Gessner.

If for any reason you pass it up, no problem, just turn right on Bammel N. Houston (next light), go to the first street, turn right, pull into the Race Park and come all the way down to the last set of gates, you'll see the Pokemon welcome banner.

Park in the FIRST section right across from the FIRST set of walk in gates. You will see a GIANT Pokemon welcome banner. The Pavilion is the white building to the left once you enter the gates.

Coolers & food - Feel free to keep a cooler of drinks in your vehicle because the drinks are expensive at the concession stand. You can walk in & out of the gates at anytime. he concession will have decent combo meals (chicken tender basket was very good last year) and reasonably priced but you are allowed to leave and go elsewhere for food. You CANNOT bring a cooler inside.

NO EXCEPTIONS - No food or drinks in the tournament area at any times.

Don't forget about practice tonight. Check the posts above for all details.

You can reach me today at 281-362-8781 up until 3:00pm if you have any important questions.

Safe trips & happy traveling to all.
