How do you cook a duck?

I played the duck in one of my Cc's and I got Top4, I lost to Magmortar/Delcatty. I had him with no hand several times, but once he gets one mentor he searches for Plusle and Minun, then he got Delcatty in play and it was impossible to keep his hand low.

Ughh, the Krow is fun to play but it gets stomped on by Magmortar once you get past the initial hand killing.
 
So everyones suggesting that the best way to beat DWD is to use a bad card that will only be good in this one matchup? And on top of that you all plan to topdeck it exactly when you need it?

For the infame Absol start, Sableye is the play...

What happened to Empoleon??? I haven't seen much Empoleon lately, it would stop Magmortar a little.

And like I said, Magmortar has advantage over the black duck, however in my version I use one CC as a tech, it works sometimes. From playing the match one of the problems is that they get Magmotar Lv X and blow your benched duck, they fry it.

I played against DWD with Banette,and without the Abso start,Darkwing gest murdered. Banette moves three turns ahead of this deck since they are only attachin to Honchkrow which I one shotted twice(2 Pluspowers and a Charm for the LV.X)

Absol start is a MUST against most decks learned for this or its a loss.

I don't agree, Banette is not that good vs. it. First of all if they start with Absol and one special dark, game over, Banette usually only starts with one basic, shupet. Once you get Banette in play you will need to have PP or put 7 counters to kill Absol, not to mention that if they lay Absol on the field they hit you for 60. With Murkrow's that copy the Lv. X, you can OHKO a few Banette's, theirs no Pokémon Reversal you know. It's in Crow's favor.

And yes Absol needs to be your starter, but I have won many games with out it as a starter.

Any good DWD deck uses (or SHOULD use) 4 Windstorms. Stadiums and CCs will only slow it down at best, not beat it single handedly.

All you have to do is have more cards to stop the duck then the duck deck has Windstorm. Like, run 3 CC and 2 BF when they can only run 4 Windstorm.

Thats fine if you kill the first Banette,the next oe will come up and do 60 or OHKop with pluspower/chamr which the deck plays. Banette also plays Cessation and BF,why wouldnt it since its worst matchup is DWD it also plays Crystal Beach so no DRE,which DWD has.

Its fine if your killing Banettes,the deck just recycles that OHKo all the Murkrows and Honckrow is the only BIG threat since it has that much HP but not even then if they only play 1 LV.X,then alot of the times you can OHKo with a PP/Charm.

Its in Krows favor,I never denied that,but not by much maybe 40/60
 
I had some good matches against Steffen F (2nd Worlds MA) the other day. I played Banette/techs, he played Honchkrow. I lost, I'll admit that, but both were close. I think i drew 4 prices in all of the games, a single one 5.
It was the first time I played with my Banny deck, just put it together.
Pretty good, IMO.
