How to make Kingdra a sad... Er... Seahorse?
Just stop its trainers. Game over. Who cares about Claydol, if they're never going to rare candy to Kingdra swarm you?

I don't honestly see many other "counters" honestly working against Kingdra. Raichu might be nasty once, and then Uxies come back and you've just night maintenenced and re-played the claydols. Whoops. Tangrowth SF almost works, if it could stop your bench from being slaughtered (considering how easy I found playing against Tangrowth tech yesterday, its not a real threat to Kingdra). Luxray's just... Bleh (10 HP too short on the thing :/).

...Seriously though, I wouldn't worry about Kingdra. Go freak out over the stormfront stuff that's even more rediculous :/

Kabutops (Majestic Dawn) and Ampharos (Secret Wonders) might work.
 
leafeon/anything works pretty well enough. if they want to spend time 20'ing everything to death, I hope you could take a few prizes in that time. leafeon/sceptile helps against most other decks.
 
sounds good. I played a kingdra @ a Br and lost. That was before i made this thread. But the sad thing is, I ran a 4-4 trode!!!! I came in 2
 
Kingdra isn't that bad. its quick but has no long game.
torterra works, any electric with lake boundary, tentacruel works if played right.
get the Claydols and hammer their hand down by using wagers, TGM etc and your bound too win. I beat one and lost to one and believe me they are much over hyped.
 
Empoleon can do a number on kingdra pretty easily. Dual Splash knocks Kingdra down to 100 HP which is just enough to Surf Together for a 2 hit KO and putting the 2nd Kindra in KO range as well. Kingdra will have to 2-3 Hit KO Empoleon (depending on Buck's, Plus Power, or earlier spread to trade with Empoleon). Omastar followed by Wager definately slows Kingdra down since you eliminate their hand, Claydol, and Kingdra at the same time.
 
Banned? LOL. There are plenty of things that beat Kingdra. Stormfront makes this format really balanced.
 
If you are really worried about Kingdra, which you shouldn't be, a mid-game Mr. Mime is enough to gain a lot of momentum. Shadow Command Dusknoir is nearly autowin if they don't donk you.
 
Any Lightning card puts HEAVY dents in Kingdra. There is NOTHING broken or ban-able about it.
Heck, play Leafeon or something, then you'll have Resistance!

leafeon (lv 7) leaf guard makes ur opponent discard 2 cards from their hand to it leaf for 20 an the bench for 20.....not worth it, leaf guard all the way!!!!
 
Leafeon became BIG early at the Dutch BR's because of Kingdra.
Played it too and won from several Kingdra decks.

Of course it helps when your opponent has all 4 Kingdra's Prized...... >_<
