HP-On: Am I the only one in love with it?

I love the format,I mean at least its not like last season with every deck just bein holon engined based. DP4 is just gonna make the format even more fun with the release of MORE broken cards.

PS. Banette is SO GOOD.
 
This format is utter insanity. In the right hands, any card is playable. Heck, I would've won today with torterra if not getting donked by kricket (funny how they always have plus powers when they need them most). Point is, expect anything at tournies now.

I REALY want to play Hurricane, but I think that would be the day everyone else plays Blissy. :lol:

Honistly, I'm not kidding. Any time I decide to use a deck that I realy like, everyone else shows up with the counter deck. If anything I'm the compleat oppisite of a luck sack. :rolleyes:
 
Wow. You guys need to know that next season, it will be the same. all of the decks will still be out there. We don't lose Mario, Empoleon, or anything. Almost nothing besides the unpopular Kingdra and Flygon decks will be rotated..
 
Well, Empoleon or Mario aren't really part of last year's format. Most Nationals have been played in DX-PK.
 
It will probably just be a tank and make people wana tech in Quaza or Electivre decks may be played.Even then people will play the decks they wanna play and beat it either way.
 
I miss delta's, I'm not gonna lie. When the Holon Engine died, all but like 3 delta decks died with it.
MegaGatr, Flygon, and Kingdra are good, mind you, but I wish there was more choice...
 
^ I agree, I very much miss the holon engin. I can't even begin to imagine how good Hurricane would be right now if we still had lass.
 
Plenty of non-delta decks would have liked the Holon engine. Blissey would have LOVED it. Hurrinane and Blastoise would have been happy campers with things like Holon Lass.

It's getting better with each set. How messy would a HP -> DP1 format be? (Several countries had that for their Battle Roads...) I think we all remember HP->MT when Blissey went nuts. Now that we're in HP->SW, we're actually starting to see different decks emerge...

Far from perfect right now though. The good news is that GE will GREATLY balance things out (...No intention of pun). I mean, Darkwing duck is balanced with Claydol. Magmortar is given attractive targets, rather then merely average matchups. Water pokemon finally get the push that they need to swarm and keep going (fighting too, while we're at it. Swampert x. Pelliper looks THAT amazing, not to mention that we get Phione). We also finally get those basic LV.X pokemon, and while Darkrai I could care less about, Palkia and Dialga re-introduce rather tricky elements such as Double Gust and possible turn ending powers.

HP-on isn't perfect (I'd much prefer DP on, to be honest. Might as well completely start over at this point, without nonsense trainers such as Celio's outclassing decent trainers like Bebe's Search. Meh, too late now to change anything), but it can only get better, unlike last format which just got more ridiculous as time went on...

Once you figure out the play in my div. there just ain't nothin you can do about it. I won a BR and then i found the play and won 3 more and t2'd the other 2., losing to weekness and mirror.
