IGN Gives Skyward Sword 10/10 - Best Zelda Game Ever

I know someone who reviewed it who was doubtful that it would be the best ever, and he told me after he finished that he changed his mind, and it was the best Zelda he had ever played.

But my question is, what other Zelda games has he played?

Their review is generally considered bad among other reviewers due to bad inconsistency. They praise MW3 for keeping the same formula, yet bash Zelda for having similar game play to previous games in the series? Not to mention, the reviewer seemed not to have a clue to how the control system actually worked.

When all the other reviews give something 10s and 9s, and one random guy gives it a 7.5, the little red troll flags should come up.

This article right here sums up pretty well why everything coming from gamestop should be considered total trash:

Well it could be worse and you have to listen to EGM magazine, if they even still exist.

for years they would never rate anything Nintendo as being good and cater to the Xbox and any unknown unheard of title would be godly to them.

Somehow EGM still does exist and they gave it an 8.5. For Shame EGM for shame. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/reviews/egm-review-the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword/

Here is their quote of what is bad in the game.

"THE BAD: Poor motion controls remind us of 5 years of flailing futility"

What? I've heard only good about the motion controls, except for Gamespot which doesn't count.

If you want a good laugh, here's a breakdown of why the guy at gamestop made the most epic fail of a review, in the history of bad game reviews.

For those of you who are to lazy to click the link and read it:

He somehow managed to play the game COMPLETELY WRONG, not paying any attention to the instructions of how to use the motion controls. Did I mention that he gets payed to do this? As in, this is his job.... like, he's supposed to be a professional gamer.... and managed to play a nintendo game completely wrong. (of all things, as a 5yr old could figure out the control scheme of just about any thing nintendo makes). What an idiot... lol

He's played all of them. I know another big Zelda fan who's in the process of playing it, and after only a few hours in, said it stands a good chance of not only being his favorite Zelda ever, but his favorite game ever.

Ill probably have to wait for chrismas, kinda short on money right now q_q" Shouldnt have gone to that prague cup D:

Is the game really THAT good?

*facepalm*

I keep getting the release date confused with Australia's (don't ask I don't know why), and when the magic Gamestop call reminded someone in my house, who then told me, I finally realized it comes out tomorrow...which means...

Not that I don't want to get spoiled or anything, but i'll be interested to see if they provided any new items for this game. One thing that I want to see is Grahim and listening to what his voice will sound like on my 47 in. HD TV! xD

I'm about 12 hours in, and I can say with out a doubt that it is the single best Zelda game, I've ever played. It's far superior to OoT in just about every way imaginable. Probably the best game I've played, period.

Just wait until you get to the 3rd temple.... By then you'll really have warmed up to the controls, and be absolutely floored by the dungeon design. The first 2 are very good as well, but man.... the 3rd temple is simply spectacular, and I've heard from my friend that it only continues to pick up from there. Can't wait! (yes... it really takes about 12 hours to get to/ finish 3 temples)

I'm a few hours in and on the first temple, and I'm already captivated by the controls. The story is pretty good as well. Well back to playing.

I got it today, the bundled edition of course (does the music CD come in all versions or just bundled?)

anyway, I am only about 2-3 hours in, I am on the verge of chasing things that look like plants, Kiwi??? ?

So far into it though, it hasnt been disappointing one bit. Its one of those games that teases at romance between Zelda and Link which has not been seen in any other title, that right there kind of makes the game to where YOU HAVE TO PLAY IT AND BEAT IT.

It could be better than OOT.

PS. is the limited edition version of the game really hard to get or something? I had mine reserved at gamestop (since I traded out the wiimotion plus sometime back and didnt have on) and I notice the gold wiimotes are hitting about $50+ alone and the bundles are past $70.

You guys think it's good now? Ha! Just wait until it really gets rolling. It's been a long time since I've been this challenged by a game... or died this much for that matter. Prepare to get your butt kicked by the first boss on the first time through. :D

? I had NO problem with the first boss.

THat would be soo sweet :D I just need a good story to play a game and this would imrpove the story a ton. Cant wait for chrismas q_q

I think that A Link to the Past was as good if not better than Ocarina of Time. I have played a bit of Skyward Sword and so far I'm not impressed so far. It's good, but until I make it farther in the game, I have to say it doesn't measure up to those two games. I could change my mind after getting through some more of the game, but for now, I'm not blow away by this game.

In any rate, I'm going to wait until I complete the entire Super Mario Land 3D. So far, I'm in World 8 and I heard there are special worlds after completing the first 8 worlds. After that, then i'll purchase the LoZSS and give out my true opinions of what I think about the game.

Honestly the more I get into it, the more I am beginning to kind of think that it is as good if not better than OOT.

But I also feel the games development was rushed to, as in dungeons being short and what not, to say if that is a knock to the game or not all depends though.

What is making the game feel as good if not better than OOT is the fact that it almost feels like a RPG without the leveling.
