I loved when the Delta pokemon + Holon engine were out in full force. It was a really great format.

This current format is right behind. Anyone who doesn't like this format has no creativity.

The year of GG was ridiculous. One deck with a smattering of attempts to break it.

This year, like it or not, donk or not we have a great variety of playable decks and (assuming you made it to t2) you had better hope you have a strategy to deal with them because it is likely that you will run into them. Even the SP decks are diverse enough to defy establishing archetypes for them and represent at least 4 and possibly more decks by themselves.

This year is the best year since last year.
