Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Is Garchomp going to be BIG?

Sam, do you know how hard it is for me to believe that you don't have a Garchomp? Are these more Mind Games?

He thinks he gonna make me take out my TecHs so he can beat me easier.

Just for that, I'm keeping them.

See, he told me he has the LV.X, and I know that he's the kinda guy that if he gets a good list (which he will probably now get), he'll buy/trade cards at the last minute.

Tehe, thanks Kristi!

More opinions are welcome.

What eva loser!!! jk jk jk. You are really easy to psych out though. lol

You couldn't tell I was joking too? I don't count on you being the only one who's playing it though, you can't TecH against 1 person. If I know you, you'll be playing Infernape. You always liked him...

Aww well, thanks for all the help guys. Carry on!

I think Ryan put it perfectly. Garchomp's glaring problem is that there is so many counters. Add a Crystal Shard to ANY deck and Garchomp now has serious issues. Add 2 and there is a good shot that it wont have a shot to beat you. I expect that when the format rotates and Crystal Shard is rotatated out, then Garchomp will be a much better play and will see a lot more play at the same time.

Garchomp can be good in the format, but it takes a Blastiose d and windstorms to be able to pull it off. Next format however, it will be a serious deck with quite a few obstacles out of the way.

In addition to the mentioned weaknesses, Garchomp is just so slow to power up, you need 3 turns just to get one attacking, while most decks will do it in almost half the time.

Really? I've never be able to attach an energy in-between turns!! (half of 3 is 1.5)

Yeah, you're right though...

Thanks guys! Keep it up!!

\/ I know, I was making a joke!

With DRE, Scramble, Shard, and BF gone, Chomp will be beast next format. For now, V said it right. Just drop shard/BF and it's gone.

Your forgetting that there are a lot of new cards that don't ever need DRE and Scramble in DP5 that are sooooooo fast they make chomp cry.

Most of these cards have less than 110 HP, so chomp can take them out. And people forget that Chomp has a Lv X for a good one-use revival to put themselves 3 turns ahead of the game and get back a pokemon as a basic.

I cannot honestly say that Chomp will be big next format like I could with Blissey, but I honestly think it will at least make a decent showing.

Your forgetting Alelf lv.x's body.

LOL?!? I power up so fast with garch......
To counter crystal shard, blastois d. For BF, restore gets around it. There are many ways to get around "problems." Next seson it's going to be even easyer. Can't wait. >:D

The only realistic thing you are going to see to beat down Chomp is the Latilock. Sure, you can revive and get around it. Let me tell you how that will work.

You revive Chomp while I have out the Latilock, that means you only have one pokemon who can hit me for decent damage. That means any decent player is going to pull out all the stops to rip you apart the second you hit the field/become active (since not all decks hit the bench). It also meand I am not going to be overwhelmingly happy with that Lv X either, so if I can't hit the bench Chomp, I will take my annoyance out on that Lv X.

Wait til the lock is gone, then Chomp is going to get interesting.

He was talking about cards FOR after worlds. :p

BTW Kingdra will give this deck problems next yr, so its not going to be easy for chomp.
