So, people are going to start playing Zapdos Vileplume. Should be a fun format.
You use Zapdos to KO Vileplume...

Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 50 damage to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Thats just it. Zapdos drops 50 on the plume, the damage counters get moved to zekrom and zapdos gets outraged in the face. I don't see a Zapdos betting a setup vileplume anytime soon
Wow vaporeon, you are stubborn.
Anyway, by your logic, Pokemon should ban Magnezone because it is overshadowing many other Pokemon. I mean, more than 35% of winning decks at Cities were Magnezone, which was way more than the next one.
If Vileplume were as good as you say, then it would be in EVERY deck. But it's not, and people know how to counter it without much difficulty. Pokemon knows what to ban (which should be nothing other than Ancient Mew), so let them handle it.
My guess is that you have played a few Plume decks, and got destroyed every time. Maybe?
Vaporeon is just trolling at this point.
Pokemon doesn't have a ban list at the moment because it doesn't need one. Yu-Gi-Oh has one because the creators were stupid enough to print stuff like Yata-Garasu. Most of the Magic tournaments I've been to run on a rotation format just like Pokemon. Vileplume isn't broken and Junk Arm is overpowered, but still not broken.
Vileplume in BW on has NO checks. Cards will no longer be printed to deal with Poke Powers and Poke Bodies. Only Abilities. Vileplume and Junk Arm does not belong in the BW Block. You know they killed Umbreon completely but not putting an errata on it saying 'Poke Powers, Poke Bodies and Abilities' but if they choose to rotate to CL-On format, we have a useless card yet they choose to keep junk Arm. There is a huge difference in a trainer and item but they made Junk Arm work over Umbreon and choose to keep Vileplume.
I completely stopped reading this thread beyond a brief skim after reading this paragraph.
Am I the only person who caught "Vileplume in BW on" and "rotate to CL-on . . . keep Junk Arm"?
Vaporeon, I am confused. You have complained about Catcher and Junk Arm being "over powered." However, you then say that Vileplume, which is the counter to those cards, is "overpowered" as well. I think if you played Vileplume, you may not complain as much about these "overpowered" Trainers, and you would see that Vileplume isn't as "overpowered" as you seem to think.

Catcher and Junk Arm are overpowered and everyone will agree with that. Vileplume is overpowered because its a bench sitter with an effect that turns off a game mechanic.
We need something to shutdown vileplume. Pokemon can't use poke bodies, etc.
