Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Kentucky Gym June 3rd

Good job everyone!!

Thanks to all who came out and had some fun yesterday. It is the gatherings of people that make this game special.
I personally had a blast meeting and chatting with lots of folks who I've only talked to electronically before now, and thanks to all who provided me with feedback on the new venue and other things where we can improve on the great time we had.

Time to start laying plans for making next season bigger & better......:thumb:

Bernie

Just a side note: Rich & James had a final match that was one for the record books. I hated to see it go sudden death, but it was a treat to watch!!

Bernie

Thanks for all your support guys, but I just couldnt pull it out. I needed a switch cartd and a water nrg, had a pidgeot, so I could QS for the other, but I TD a jirachi. GG. I took half an hour (literally, they counted) on my final quick search to try and figure out how to pull it out, so he atachedv the water to lugia, retreated pidgeot, and it was a GG.

I had a bucnh of fun, and I guess i get to hope for teh best at nats! Cya all there, James

That was one heck ofa match dude. Congrats to both you. If only I didn't get knocked out round one(game one Latias * start, and the only thing I was drawing were Holon Magnetons and Rare candys, (NO SUPPORTERS) scooped it up(Prizes were worste, I had to go Aggro Blasty to even ahve a good chance with Lunarock, and Blasty was prized). Game two another Latais* start, I got up and going, but not fast enough, if I had one QS, I may have had a better chance. James, we got to make aure we both make T8 at Nats. Berine, great GC, had a great time.

Yeah GJ James.

Only beef I have is that judges should not be judging for the first time at a GC and giving out time under 5 minutes randomly. Really promotes stalling =\

My problem is the stallers at the beginning of the game. They sit there and take 5-10 minute a turn easy, expecting to get ahead in prizes and not needing to worry about it. Then when they don't get ahead in prizes, they complain about the other finally taking some time near the end to make the right decitions to keep their lead or get the final prizes. Those are the worst, cause they complain about something they did at the beginning of the game and got their share at the end of the match to lose.

I don't want to get too far off topic so I will add the congrats to Rich for the win. It doesn't make me feel as bad to losing to you now. :thumb:  And great tournament Bernie! Had fun, and it was nice meeting you. Cya all who is going to Nationals!
